The £8.99 Sunday lunch is to die for. Fantastic BIG roast, a cuppa, and dessert all for under a tenner. The roast lamb is deliciously cooked and they’re generous with their gravy. I normally get the smoothie alongside my meal to treat myself to a fruit or two. Small cafe but there’s an upstairs too which is a little quieter. I’ve only ever eaten the roast but every other diner’s food looks amazing too.

I'm glad they're open till 5pm! We were starving as we hadn't had lunch, so we popped in at 4pm. Two delicious cheese and onion toasties, a hot chocolate and a cuppa. Staff are lovely. Just one star less because it's order at the counter.

We love this local cafe - from the food, service to lively buzzing atmosphere- everything is perfect. Added bonus: portions are generous and prices reasonable (we both ordered the yummyMediterranean breakfast). We'll be back very soon.

The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. I think where this Cafe gets it wrong is that they expect people to go to the till to order their food and pay in advance, before they've eaten their meal. That's not how it normally works at restaurants and greasy spoon cafes that are offering cooked meals , with a comprehensive food menu. I'm making a distinction between the standard protocol at coffee houses such as Costa and Starbucks where you're just popping in for a drink or light snack compared to places offering proper lunches/dinners! Requesting customers to go to the till and pay in advance indirectly suggests that you don't trust your customers or that you can't be bothered to come to the table to take an order. The plate has got to be brought to the table anyway, so why not take the order there as well?

Fantastic family run cafe. I had Chestnuts cater for my daughter's birthday party for 40 people. Ali and team did a brilliant, brilliant job. Generous portions, fresh, flavourful food that impressed everyone! Ordered the Mezze platters which contains a variety of food - halloumi cigars, stuffed vine leaves, falafals, onion salad, hoummous, olives, etc and some of the best bread we have ever had! Also, very well packaged which made serving very easy. There was so much food, each of the guests took some home, much to everyone's delight. Highly recommend Ali's fantastic Cafe!

Lovely café, service and food is brilliant with plenty of vegetarian options. Veggie musakka, halloumi kebab and baklava are some of my favourites. Clean too. Will be coming back again and again whenever possible

Me and my partner visited here for breakfast this morning, based on her prior (and first) visit here with their brother a couple of weeks back. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, which was great for me as I have sensory issues/anxiety revolving around noise (and too many people!)I had the eggs royale with salmon and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! I've never had it before, but knew it to be right up my alley. Definitely recommend! Had my breakfast alongside a black americano that was smooth and full-bodied - not burnt - that went down very well.I never dealt personally with the staff as such, but the speed of service was very prompt! Will definitely be returning in future, either for another bout of breakfast or their Sunday lunch!
