Golf at The Vale Resort

Considering the heat wave just recently the national course was in great condition the greens are lightning fast and world class it’s worth every Penny , this course is very long but if you love the game it’s great value the staff in the pro shop/ club house are very friendly and very accommodating

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Course hard and running. Played the championship course. Good test of golf. Good food and Beveridge service and staff were very welcoming. Definitely go back to do the lakes course.

Both courses were absolutely great, despite the water logged conditions.We did notice a lot of dead wildlife around the course which was quite disconcerting.The food was fantastic in all areas.The biggest disappointment was the staff whilst the dinner service was great, we found in most instances the staff to be very glum and not very friendly - may of been because we were in a group.They also had a wedding on the Saturday night which went on to 2/3am with the function room right underneath our floor - so sleep was pretty hard to come by.

Even with the wet conditions it’s still enjoyable!Greens great and true. Wildlife wonderful!Peaceful and great views.

A nice challenging golf course with some very tight driving holes the course is well kept with nice greens which were a little on the slow side the course has been made even tougher with the dry conditions nice pro shop and club house hope to play the lakes course on next visit

Weve been to the venue a few times now as the two courses on site are great. The Lakes and The International are both good challenges with the International course on par with some of the better Midland courses we play. (Although the 18th hole is quite dull!)The set up at the resort is favourable with plenty of facilities such as driving range, buggies and practice areas and the hotel breakfast is very good. Rooms are adequate, sizeable and plentiful and there are a couple of bars to use in the eveningOn our recent visit there were some issues which we found a little disappointing such as the food standards and choices when we were catered in the golf complex.There are vending machines serving as half way house on both coursesAs diners we were served smash potato with gammon and the same with fish, no other variety of potato as an alternative.We also couldn’t get a taxi company to come and pick a group of us up to take to Cardiff in the evening, which made us feel a little cut offAll in all though, the resort is definitely a place to come and stay & play if you’re a society. Just bring your own potatoes

Can’t believe what service and quality I had to put up with in the club house!40 minute wait,then they got it wrong to served what I can only describe as something even British Rail would be ashamed off, absolutely disgusted ! £7 for under part baked roll with the cheapest slither of meat possible! Brought to the attention the staff who could not give a dam! Golf course was a pleasure but so disappointed by the lack of care in the club house!

Top class golf resort. With two different courses offering different challenges. The lake course is tight and a test of straight driving, the Welsh national a test of power as its one of the longest courses in the UK

Two great courses.Clubhouse lovely.Clubhouse food v.good.Welsh National in my humble opinion, one of the best Top 20 courses in the UK…bold statement, play it and prove me wrong.
