An 1800s French Clock was restarted and set up by the professional knowledgable owner having not worked for years. Nothing was too much trouble; he also detailed how to look after the clock, wind up the correct way ( unusually anti clockwise), alter the speed. Excellent service, honest assessment that no service required, and no charge for his time

Awful Service, this repairer has had my watch for thirteen months since January 2022 for a service and repair. The owner has sited many issues why he has not returned my £2500 Tag. No spares, failed repair, covid, long covid etc etc. Instead of sub-contracting this work out as I suggested he simply fails to communicate. This is a real shame as he is a nice guy but I have had to request he return my property, he has failed to respond to this also, I now have to make a claim against him for keeping my property against my strict instructions to return it! Unbeievable.

Chris was amazing and resolved the issue I was having with my very old Gradfather clock. Super helpful and went the extra mile to get it going reliably. Great service, professional and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

I took my mum and dads Smiths wedding clock of 1954 to Chris for a full repair and refurbishment after trying other so called other specialists, which ok does not have a high in terms of monetary value, but has in sentimental value, and while it took a little while to do, the result was absolutely fantastic and well worth the wait and cost, because if you want the job done properly then you have to be patient.Very helpful and an excellent business and highly recommended if you have any time piece of real value that you can trust to be done well.Thanks Chris.Glenn Sherwood.

After having my quartz watch sat in its box not working for over 2 years due to not being able to justify the £600 Omega quoted for repair, I took it to Chris at The Clockmaker.Chris was very honest about not knowing what will be required until he takes a look inside but will call and quote before he undertakes any work. Within 24 hours, Chris called and said all that was needed was a battery for under £25!I cannot thank Chris enough as I can now wear this watch of huge sentimental value again.I can thoroughly recommend The Clockmaker - he also have a beautiful showroom of clocks too!

I was walking through Hungerford and happened to spot the Clockmaker's shop. I popped in to ask if they would be able to repair my mantle clock. They could not have been more helpful. We have several old clocks and will definitely be going back next time one of them needs fixing. (And if you're passing, and love clocks, it's worth a visit, even if just to look in their window!)

Stumbled upon this wonderful establishment. I was having problems with my Omega watch running slowly. Chris rectified the problem promptly and efficiently. I am happily wearing my watch again. So pleased. Fabulous service.
