Surf Shack freshwater bay
First ordered 2 teas plus 2 sausage and egg baps, was told it would be a long wait for sausages, so changed to bacon and egg. After half hour and going into remind order. Another 10 mins 2 sausage and egg baps turned up and 2 black teas, and told the milk was inside.

Fantastic little cafe, the freshly baked fruit scone was the best I have ever tasted. The coffee was fabulous and the Yong lad that served us was really friendly.

Excellent little place! Lovely baps in fresh seeded rolls. We had great coronation chicken and prawn salad, but everything looked fresh and tasty. They also had ice creams and a good selection of drinks and cakes. The service was also very kind and generous.

Lovely little pit stop on our walk. Friendly and attentive staff - esp. friendly to our blind dog, Jumble. Great coffee and first mince pie of the year!We’ll be back for pizza soon!

Lovely fresh sandwiches and great ice cream. Even catered for gluten free. Very friendly staff. Definitely visit if you are looking for some good lunch in the freshwater area :)

Just across the road from the bay, next to the car park. Stopped off for a lovely coffee and pasty. Sat in the garden, enjoying the sun whilst our daughter tried to eat all the stones on the path, thinking we weren't watching her.

Popped into the Surf Shack checking it out as it has recently opened and is undergoing a refurb and more importantly to check out the brekkies. There is a distinct lack of places around here that provide a decent morning munch.Well what can I say........wait for it!Now, bear in mind this place has been closed for well, I don't know but a while and hasn't been maintained for years but over the last few weeks it has undergone a bionic transformation and that is likely to continue, so well done to whoever has taken this over.Anyway let's get to the point.Bloody brilliant!Greeted by friendly welcoming staff who couldn't have been more helpful. Good choice of breakfasts, great selection of coffees and if it hadn't been pissing down and coldish there is even ice cream Mr Whippy, not sure about the flakes or fruity sauce though.I did visit the toilet before I left and whilst this could do with an update was clean and functional.All in all a great place for a breakfast, coffee, slice of cake or anything else you could reasonably desire.Would definitely return and recommend the Surf Shack to anyone living or visiting the West Wight.
