New Rainbow Hill Chinese Takeaway

Avoid if you have a food allergy. Despite telling them twice that all dishes should be free of peppers guess what they sent. Not even an apology when I called; they tried to blame me! Useless. Do not use. Check their food hygiene rating if you need more convincing (It's 2 .)

Picked up a salt and chilli chicken tonight. Its the worst ive ever had. The previous chef was amazing at it but she left. Ive never had chicken like this. Its like no effort was made at all. Onions were cut and threw in as it was like eating a freshly cooked onion that should have been cooked. No sign of chili anywhere. Im shocked to be honest. Never again.

Ordered via Uber Eats. Delivered on time (18:00) and the food was good. BBQ spare ribs particularly nice. Beef chow mein decent, mix starters v nice too. I would order here again.

Worst place ever. Didn't get my food order at all. Had to spend half an hour trying to call them and then they hang up. Please avoid and never order from them

First time ordering from here will be the last..via UberEats. Took 2 hours to arrive after chasing them on the phone. Stone cold and was well below standard for a Chinese, bland and not cooked with care. Disappointed...would not recommend ordering from here.

This was a well-cooked meal of good, clean Chinese food that was value for money. There were a few downsides that have limited our review to 3 stars. We waited well over an hour for delivery (not bad on a Saturday night when you consider the snow) but upon arrival it was evident that the Chips were missing from our order and replaced with Prawn Crackers (not what we asked for)... certainly not a big deal unless you are vegan like us. The fake chicken in my wife’s Mock Sweet & Sour Chicken was so realistically fleshy and flakey that she could only eat around the plate in fear of it being real meat. On Rainbow Hill’s part this is either an act of culinary genius or simply a case of mixing up an order... we are too scared to check! Still, one can’t complain when ordering the ‘mock’ stuff if it seems like the real thing. Overall - meal arrived hot and fresh (and fleshy) - we will not be using the takeaway again (as Vegans we will probably stick to eating tofu that resembles cardboard - we sleep easier that way). Carnivores will want to give Rainbow Hill a try though.

After trying to find a descent takeaway since I moved to a new area I'm pleased to say I have finally found it after many disappointing attempts. Ordered online from bigfoodie when we had really bad snow the meal came in about 40 minuets considering road conditions and he was the only driver that night. The food was fantastic tasted fresh and clean not greasy or burn from the pan. Big portion sizes for the price and they even gave me a free portion of chilli peppered wings maybe to get me to order from them again ? Either way I will be without the free wings. Delivery driver was sound wished I had money to tip him.

Used to love this place, but just got real meat in my “mock chicken” dish :( i have been vegetarian for years and i was given what i think was pork in my meal :( it was a different texture and taste to the rest of the mock chicken, which i have had before, so know the difference. It pulled apart like real meat, and my dog had it, and she refuses vegan meats! So sad :(

After last time when my food was over an hour late, the food was lovely so thought would give it again, ordered at 6.30 for 8.30 delivery.. Turned up at 7.50pm..I only ordered 3 things 2 were correct but instead of salt and pepper chicken wings I had what can only be described as chilli beef?? I don't eat red meat.. To then ring them up 60 times they didn't answer and I know they were answering phones because sometimes the line was busy... I WILL NEVER order from here, I gave it a chance and its a shame as the food is nice, I would complain to them but yiu can't get through

I ordered a large takeaway to treat the family but a significant amount of the order was missing and the food that did arrive was dry and bland (tasted like it had been reheated a few times). I called the manager immediately to report the missing items and agreed that a refund was sensible as the rest of the food was going cold. No money was received. I called a couple of weeks later and spoke to the same guy who again agreed to the refund and said he would ‘chase Deliveroo’. Ultimately no money received. The food is poor and they are completely dishonest. I am amazed they are still in business.
