Do not buy from this company. I purchased the Hovel pencil sharpener. When it arrived it was badly scratched and marked. I emailed Makers Cabinet and asked for a replacement. They requested pictures of the damage, which I sent. They then stopped communicating and have not replaced or offered a refund. The have no returns policy and refuse to interact with customer. Very poor quality item and very poor service.

More than just a pencil sharpener. A beautifully crafted tool that is built to last. Simply stunning and worth every penny. I’d give it 6, 7 even 8 stars. Just wonderful.

Hi peeps, I bought this and I'm so happy ! First it did'nt work and I was so worried and disappointed. But Noah from Makers Circle adviced me to try to reproduce the movement with thin latex gloves. I made it for a few minutes and now it's working smoothly, just marvelous! I'm pretty sure the transport vibration is stucking a little the metallic slats but this simple exercice replaces everithing just fine without any dammage. It seems that you must not put any wax or other product on the IRIS device. if you have try that you should use a smooth fabric with the latex gloves mooving open-shot movement till you clean the slats. It should be fine. But if you did not put any product, please don't try any. Hope it will be useful those who already bought it and those who hesitate to have this little drawing jewel ! Beautifull and so satisfying to use ! I really believe in this product. Kind regards, Dana-Maria
