The hangout climbing ltd | Scheduling and Booking Website | -- ONLINE BOOKINGS ONLY--We are a climbing wall , situated on the beautiful island of Portland , DorsetWe currently have around 140sq m of wall ,which include a cave , overhangs , slabs and crack climbing , spray wall , symmetry board a small shop and equipment hire , such as bouldering pads ,shoes and helmets,as well as a good stock of chalk , chalkbags , fingertape , and brushes we have snacks and refreshments on site and also have hot and cold drinks too !Being limited on capacity , we operate on a booking only system which can either be done over the phone or through this website.If it's your first visit to the centre, please read through and fill out the form below :) https://app.waiverelectronic.com/render/templateByRefId/5f44d0481430a203dae6b2a0

Amazing centre, route setting is on point despite being a small centre. James is always so helpful and this may be my new favourite place to climb and train.

Had a brilliant day out on the rock face will definitely be coming back here again, the staff were very friendly and supportive when climbing, all the equipment was provided and learning the figure 8 knot was fun and very well walked/talked through. If you happen to be in the area you need to go and experience what it’s like climbing, it’s a satisfying feeling when you reach the top

Nice staff. Climbing walls disappointing, with loose hand holds and generally quite shabby. Needs a thorough refit to bring it up to scratch to match other places. However, the pricing was pretty reasonable. The centre is hidden away on an estate, pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

The indoor bouldering is brilliant; lots of levels of difficulty so there's always something to climb.The outdoor climbing is just as good, the staff are very supportive as well as knowledgable, making for a great day out!

We booked our daughters birthday party at The Hangout! We had a fantastic morning climbing! Everyone really enjoyed themselves. So much to do and to learn. A really enjoyable place that I would recommend.

We had the best day outdoor climbing. James is a brilliant instructor. so friendly, knowledgeable, patient and positive. Would highly recommend & will be booking again.What a delight to have the bouldering gym here on Portland too. Well run and enthusiastism from James.

We arranged a private climbing session through HangOut Climbing. It was such a great day - we had various levels of experience (2 parents, 14 & 15 year olds) so we started with an introduction to climbing inside at the climbing wall (how to belay etc) before walking a short distance to some local climbing walls.It was such an excellent day, with the climbing catering for all our needs, safely taken into consideration at all times, while much fun was had. Would highly recommend climbing sessions with the guys from The Hangout Climbing Club.

I have done indoor bouldering at this place for a few months now and have had a lot of fun. The climbing gym is good quality and always getting better. Did an outdoor climbing session today and loved it. learnt a lot with the very knowledgeable and friendly instructors, will definitely be doing it again.

Ok for the price but I had a less than positive experience. We couldn't find rental shoes that fit, and it was more difficult (than I'm used to) to figure out what the intended route is (due to very similar colours close together).
