The White Horse
What a great pub. 19 of us stopped for lunch on the 1st day of a 3 day bike ride. (15 in our group and 4 others who met us there). We were booked into the Conservatory but the weather was so good we spread out in the garden out the back. Great selection of beers and the food was excellent - all agreed this was our top pub stop of the weekend. I personally recommend the chilli, stated on the menu as renowned" and it didn't disappoint."

How pubs should be! Great hosts who really care about quality local beer and food. Such a warm welcoming atmosphere. The menu is perfect for us, you will find the portions very generous and super tasty. Great value for money too. I think this is how pubs used to be, thank goodness Simon and Beth, the owners have kept to their wonderful traditional values. Can't wait till we go again !

Thank you for a lovely meal today, it was great to visit you with Imps. Thank you again for lunch, scampi was nice and Simons pies looked lovely. Lovely old fashioned pub. Another lovely visit again with our military vehicles. Had ham egg and chips really good

Arrived here mid cycle ride a bit early but the lovely landlords opened up early for us. Had a great value, very tasty sandwich and chips and a well kept pint of ale. Perfect refuelling stop.

The team couldn't have been more helpful in catering for our party of 26 people. The 3 course BBQ was incredibly well priced per head and the hospitality was perfect for the night before our wedding.It's a beautifully cosy pub as well with a good selection of drinks. We'll be back next time we're in the area for certain.

Really nice homely little pub for a bit of a Sunday lunch catch up with our English friends. Very simplistic food menu but we were able to try out three different dishes between us: Vegan chilli, Ploughmans with cheddar cheese (different options available) and Sausages with mash/peas (chips/beans could be opted for). All three were super delicious and thoroughly enjoyed. Very good value for moneyService was excellent, really friendly and welcoming. Super efficient and helpful. Alcohol free drink options available, wine and beer. Try the Fever Tree Mexican Lime Soda, totally delicious over ice!

Lovely country pub with friendly staff and excellent beer. There are generally at least 2 real ales available, always well kept. The food is basic but good and reasonably priced. In Summer one can sit in a large garden. In Winter there are log fires.
