Was with a group for 98th birthday for my Dad ..All happy with meals . My steak was very tasty and just the right amount of veg and chips. Waffle was a little dry but tasty. Cannot fault service food arrived quickly and hot but a pity the plates were not. Staff pleasant, friendly and helpful.

I am sat in the Centurion at the moment and ordered the Rump Steak. The Steak was all gristle I could only cut one very small piece off with the steak knife. When I told the server she said “well that’s what they send us I will pass the message on”. There was no offer to rectify the issue and she just walked away. Avoid!!!the food is not worth it and the service is poor. Only as we were leaving were we offered a complimentary dessert but as my meal had been spoiled we declined and left.

The bar person had no idea what items were included with my choice of Turf and Surf. In response to my question, what is included? His answer was, Prawns." I would hope so on a Turf and Surf! When pushed

It was a great experience from start to finish. I booked a table for 22 people. I sent in the pre orders. The staff were so helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was great and fantastic service! Thank you Centuriun!

We were booking for a large party for a team Christmas meal and as such had chosen this venue as it appears to look like it has an enjoyable atmosphere and an appetising menu. Whilst we found the actual venue and the food to be quite enjoyable the customer services left a very sour taste in the mouth. When liaising with the booking person over the phone we found them to be both rude and unhelpful, we were told in no uncertain terms that our deposits which we paid would be non refundable, (Had it not been we certainly wouldn't have come along). we took this to mean that we had paid a deposit and if our food came to less than this then we would not be refunded the difference. It was not specified anywhere that it would differ to this. We were told we needed to submit a pre order by Thursday 7th December, however when we tried to do this we were unable to get through and so called back and then left a voicemail. this phone call was not returned and as such we tried to call on the Friday, again we had no response and no action on our voicemail. We repeated this on both Saturday and Sunday with no luck. We finally got through on the Morning of the booking, the lady on the other end was very rude about the fact we were submitting our pre order now rather than apologising for the issues that had happened with the phone system as one would expect there to be. We attended the venue, and due to both illness and unavailability our party was much reduced from the original booking (Although this would have been noted upon us submitting our order on Thursday as we tried to do). The food was out to us quickly and efficiently and the waiting service was ok, However upon trying to sort the bill we were told we needed to pay an additional amount, this despite the fact our original deposit had covered the meal in full. When we asked why they were looking to charge this then explained that they had to turn away another large table. The restaurant was by no means full and the table we were sat at was for 6 people and as such I struggled to see where they had reserved a table that hindered the ability to service this additional table and in all honesty felt like a reason to charge extra. Upon challenging the bill there was no understanding of our position until we proved we had rung and left a voicemail. All in all the customer service was absolutely appalling, Whilst i appreciate the customer isn't always correct, that is a view that is had in the kitchen or in the back office not in front of the customer. I for one am very disappointed and struggle to see how i will visit here again myself let alone recommend.

The staff were absolutely lovely..cheerful and obliging.Unfortunately the cutlery and glassware were dirty and had to ask for 2 glasses and a knife and fork to be replaced.There were 9 of us dining and we had five different meals between us..and we were all happy with them.

Booked table online without any problems & given a 2hr time slot.Received warm welcome & when shown to our table was asked if we were happy where it was. As we were having brunch the waitress reminded us that it was only available up to 12:00 & then after that it would be the Sunday lunch menu. Found the choice to be really good & favourably priced. We didn’t have to wait too long before our meals arrived & we’re pleasantly surprised with the portion size! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals & will definitely be returning before too long! Highly recommendable!

I have dined at the Centurion many times and have always had good food and good customer service. This last time the food and service was not as good. The chips tasted as if they had been reheated. We waited 45 mins for our dessert after having asked twice if we could have our dessert. I will try again and hope it's up to par again.

Very busy pub, but we did go on a Friday evening.Very hard to hold a conversation due to the noise. Food was ok, average pub grub. Value for money and friendly staff.Really liked the fact you can order from your phone via the QR code. Saved fighting your way through the masses to get to the bar.I like a quieter pub, but this pub is very popular and lively which is a very good sign in this day and age.Only 4 stars due to me getting old and not liking the noise.
