Had Sunday lunch here in the pub. I enjoyed my roast. Wife had the ploughman’s plate. This place was full of life, and we enjoyed our food and drink. Very solid place.

Beautiful Sunday lunch - melt in the mouth roast beef, lovely roast veg and cauliflower cheese. Starters also good - but quite filling so didn't manage pudding. Friendly staff. Nicely timed service not too rushed.

The pub is amazing.It's pet friendly but not exactly kid friendly, more like tolerating children rather than welcoming them.Sometimes it's hard to keep a toddler from roaming around and playing with set cutlery on a remote table when they're hungry and the food takes 40 min after ordering to arrive. The staff were a bit short and encouraged us to 'go sit down and wait for food'. I emphasized I'd like the fish finger meal to come out first, but the table next to us got their fish finger sandwiches way before us even though they arrived and ordered about 20 min later than we did.All in all the food was good, nice selection of pints and having dogs with wagging tails everywhere helps with the ambiance.I think it's an awesome location and offers a great experience, staff needs to embrace their most junior customers or cooperate with the kitchen to speed things up.

We booked a night at The Horse & Hound and were very impressed . Staff were all lovely and very helpful and friendly. Our room was beautiful , furnishings were lovely , bed very comfortable and linen lovely, good quality biscuits , complimentary soaps ,shampoo etc , nice touches ..we had evening meal in hotel which was faultless , freshly cooked and tasting homemade and breakfast next morning was equally delicious ..Won't hesitate to book again ,thank you so much ..

Made to feel very welcome on arrival. The kitchen was close to finishing but the staff were more than happy to take a late order. We both had pie and chips bothe pies were fantastic with crispy pastry and rasty fillings. All the staff were very friendly.

Nice pub , quite large but never the less pleasant. The staff were very helpful and polite even stoking the coal fire on a cold evening even though the pub was quiet. Could imagine it being a good place to come when it was busier, probably a really good atmosphere.

We went here for Sunday lunch in November. There were a few people in when we arrived at 12:30, but it was much busier when we left at about 2pm. One of us had roast pork (we could have had roast beef as an alternative) whilst the other had a chicken burger. Both were excellent, served quickly and hot. There was also a a good selection of puddings available. The cost was not unreasonable and we would go there again if we in Broadway on another occasion.
