We were very impressed with Home Snagging. The initial communication was excellent and Keith arrived ahead of time. He explained everything and was extremely meticulous in his inspection. He is a lovely guy and pointed out many snags that we would not have seen ourselves. He is very knowledgable with respect to new builds and answered all our questions. The report itself is detailed with photographic evidence to show the builders. You wouldn't hesitate to get a survey on a used house so why wouldn't you get peace of mind for a new build. Nice person initially. Turned nasty when things go wrongWe were initially greeted by a lovely lady who performed the snag at our property. Everything went ok on the day and our report came back in good time. Things changed when we realised after performing a thorough check of the home ourselves following the inspection. There was a few things picked up that we would never have noticed on the report however items like damage to sanitary wear (all three en-suite shower trays) electric socket outside property loose, holes in joinery, hole in driveway, missing tarmac, crack in brickwork around garage we’re missed. There were decorative things missed also.In view of this and with the agreement with the builders agreeing to complete the works we found and from home snagging uk we decided to ask how home snagging uk were going to rectify the issue either in the form of compensation or re inspecting the property in view of the numerous amounts of snags missed.The response from Julie “managing director:“ We’re the professionals not you and we have done a professional report.We don’t like the tone of your email at all and there won’t be any compensation”.We then offered another opportunity in writing to discuss this matter further and the final response was:“ Don’t you dare threaten us as a company.”” I think you are just wanting to rip companies off and we don’t like to deal with anyone like you!”And then another email saying:“ Threatening with social media is as low as you can getDisgusting ”We will be getting another snagging report from another company. Brilliant service. The gentleman was really friendly , really thorough . Found faults that we would have never have spotted.Quick turn around with the report which we were able to forward to our builder. Highly recommend
