Fantastic place. Walked past this the first time round - it had the old newsagents sign up still! It was recommended by the guy in the Black Cat Cafe.The decor is fantastic. Beautiful colours, exposed brickwork, great lighting. A real trendy, homely feeling. Just wish I was a local.Lots of local bottles. Great selection on tap. Some craft and some that'll appeal to a more traditional beer drinker. All well kept. Bar keep was spot on.

Almost certainly the best pub in Matlock. Well curated cans and bottles. Some quite weird and wonderful, and reasonably priced. Very nice landlord. If I'm carping the keg list was not particularly killer but they play to their regular crowd. And there's interesting stuff in cans in the fridge. This is a great operation and deserves to do well

Favourite discovery in Matlock, well worth walking up the hill for.Incredible drinks selection, service and atmosphere. Friendly, warm and an absolute must.

Great micropub. It was a good size and well decorated. Mark was very knowledgeable about local beers and had a decent selection of bottles.I visited this place twice on my visit to Matlock and all the beers were well kept. There was suitable ales for both craft and real ale lovers on tap.I liked how the atmosphere in the pub enabled our party to strike up conversations with the locals. Will visit again.

Fantastic micro pub. Friendly and entertaining owner. Excellent range of well chosen real ale, many bottles and anything else the discerning drinker would like. Tasteful and spacious interior. My favourite pub in Matlock. If only their was an escalator to get up the hill.

Excellent atmosphere. Staff very friendly and sociable. Great selection of beers. I had a lovely glass of rose and my hubby enjoyed a pint of the pecan pie stout. If you visit Matock do not miss this little find.
