Beautiful, incredibly old church. Well worth a look if in the area. Hasn't been used for services for over 50 yearsThe day I visited there was an exhibition of replica Royal Wedding Dresses.

I feel so sad that this is no longer used as a church. Hasn't been for some years. But it is an historic building and also a landmark. I believe it is used for events. Such as choirs and plays and so on. Events at Xmas. Not to sure on that. I was told that quite a few year ago the council were selling it for £1 to anyone as long as you took over full responsible for all the maintenance on the building. If only I had the money. Such a shame.I do believe a few kind people have joined together, prehaps locals ,to take care of the church. They do there up most best to takecare of the building. Putting in there own time and effort and labour and money, what little they have to keep the building standing. Its used for events and so on. How can this building be written off by by society. A part of history and a beautiful historic building. It breaks my heart. There's so much history in the place. 6I went to look around the tomestones. As I believed ancestors of mine was buried there from the fenwick family. I sat there on a stone seat and cried. What a state the graves were in. While I sat there people were walking there dogs among the graves, as though it was just waste land. Broken grave stone, thrown to one side. Can't tell where they belong. The Respect has gone for the dead. Its so very painful and also frightening as where the future Generations are heading.
