Garlic and Thyme

What a way to kick off our visit to this beautiful country! Gave them 5 stars across the board. 1. Food was fantastic and the portions were plentiful. 2. Service was outstanding! Truly nice people. 3. Atmosphere was light and open as we hoped it would be. We will keep coming back.

Find this place and eat here. Loved the smoked salmon salad for lunch. Tasty and beautifully presented. On the down side only two beers on tap, and only the house red wine available by the glass. Beer just ok, wine good. Go for the food.

Get past the vehicle repair garages and industrial units behind Bridgeton Library and there's a gem of a restaurant in a spacious open plan building. Love the decor.Plenty of street parking.We had mussels with garlic sauce and seafood risotto. Mussels themselves were little small but the sauce was superb. Risotto only had prawns and looked a little like porridge but tasted good.Lemon cheesecake is to die for!It's local to us and we'll enjoy coming here often.

I just looove this place. Affordable and great taste and ambiance. Quite cozy place perfect for family and couples. I have been here on two occasions once for breakfast and the other for dinner. Ohh I love the chef. Best risotto I had in my life. Awesome bruschetta. Huge portions and Greta taste. Can’t recommend enough.

The food is good, decent portions but the service is poor.When the boss man is in, everything runs smoothly. But my last 3 visits haven’t been good, when he’s not there.Past three visits summed up:The high chairs are always dirty. A server approached us after I cleaned it with my own sanitary bag to say that I didn’t need to do that, so I showed her the whole pieces of food I removed! Not crumbs, actual pieces of pasta and dried in sauce! Every. Time.The servers rarely approach the tables, we waited 15 minutes (when we were the only table) to get asked about drinks. These then didn’t arrive till the main course came and we reminded her.Meat was forgotten to be added to some dishes (but we were still charged for them till I complained). Two main courses were forgotten, turns out they didn’t have any steak pie but instead of letting us know, they just didn’t serve us any dish!The desserts are mainly from Costco as well, nothing wrong with that, but don’t tell me that they were freshly baked this morning.It’s a shame, cause the food is actually decent and I would like to support this small business but you feel like an inconvenience at times!The group of Italian men who used to run it previously were great, but things have really went downhill.

This is a great place to eat, with the option of sitting in or taking away.It's so local and handy to get to if you live/work in the Eastend. The menu has a lot of delicious options and they always have deals on.I would highly recommend trying this place, whether it's just for a coffee and cake or a meal.

Absolutely delicious Italian place where the chef can adapt items to be gluten free, vegan etc. so it is safe for dietary requirements.The chef makes his own pizza dough (and GF dough!) and dishes are cooked fresh to order.Can’t wait to go back and see what the breakfasts are like!Really generous portion sizes too, and affordable prices.

What a great pity that this gorgeous place did not get a mere muffin and coffee or cappuccino right. Walking in you think... oh yummy... but then they don't have soya milk. You take oat although it is not quite the same. The coffee is an excellent blend but the oat milk let's it down. You then ask for a snack and the lass hesitates... I say muffin... and she says ..let me check the fridge... and that is exactly what I get... a stodgy blueberry muffin out of the fridge unto my plate... pity. But, I persevere, ask a gentleman with a lovely accent for 2 sec in the microwave and some cream. Sadly, my muffin is still not the freshest. Come on people!! You have this excellent venue .. treat it well... you have the best coffee blend... use it well. I walk away disappointed but I'll be back and give you another whirl.xx

I was a regular customer at this place and brought family and friends until recently.The service has been a complete disaster on the last two occasions. I ended up walking out both times.Completely ignored by the waiting staff, made to feel like an inconvenience for asking for a menu. Told we’d be attended to only for the waitress to spend 10 minutes dealing with walk-in customers and avoiding eye contact with us.They were relatively quiet when I first started going and it seems they haven’t been able to keep up with demand.Food - Can be a hit or a miss. Incomplete orders. Breakfast is a disaster as often given a meal that does not resemble the menu description.Sadly I’ve given this place its final chance and I won’t return now.Needs to be appropriately staffed, kitchen staff trained on what the menu actually says and a huge improvement in staff attitude is needed.AVOID
