Absolute crooks. They reduced the reserve price on a car to make me liable for it after I obviously thought I’d not won that car cause I didn’t hit the reserve price.. so obviously i had allocated funds elsewhere! They then took over a thousand pounds out of my account, lied saying the seller requested them to reduce the reserve (I found him, he didn’t..) and threatened the seller to boot. My bank put the money back in my account as they acted at least improperly if not unlawfully. I have dozens of friends into classic cars NONE of them will ever use this criminal company. DO NOT buy or sell a car with this company.

BEWARE !Do not allow them to charge you by giving your credit cars authority, A BLANK CHEQUE !!They will just charge you wheneverThey are an unprofessional outfit.I have bought and sold a number of cars through them in 2022/2023.Their T&C cleverly hide the fact that they have no responsibility whatsoever.They accept any car, in any conditions and reprint the sellers info, mostly wrong, misleading or outright false.They are just like any car dealer, except they do not inspect cars, but gladly describe them in glorious terms on their auction site.Once a car does not sell they call repeatedly the last bidders trying desperately to get their commission by persuading the last bidders to up their bids.UNPROFESSIONAL OUTFIT !

I had a reasonable experience selling via Car & Classic. From first contact to completed sale was about 6 weeks. I found the support good and never had any issue with getting hold of anyone. Although you will always get some non-paying bidders, I went with C&C because they tend to attract more serious buyers with a lower risk of sales falling through. Once complete, the money arrived soon after the buyer confirmed receipt of the car.However, buyers and sellers need to have their eyes open when using this platform and other similar ones. Buyers should make their own enquiries/inspections if the car is worth any significant amount - the photos are comprehensive and honest but obviously they will not show mechanical faults.All C&C have to go on are the observations of the photographer (who is not a mechanic) and the seller's description of the car, which they then write up into the ad. By my observation the C&C ads tend to be on the optimistic side - personally I would prefer it if they were written in a more guarded manner. It might mean some cars selling for less, but if everyone in the car trade was more open about condition, restoration costs etc, everyone would benefit in the long run.

I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN……I was bidding on one of their cars at auction and I had to give them a blank access to one of my credit cards, apparently to verify that I do exist.A very strange request, anyhow I did and left quickly after my bid.I found out from the credit card company, I was giving them Carte Blanche to charge whatever and whenever, they want !!!Incredible !When I decided to stop my bidding, I received endless calls to up my bid, why would I ?!A desperate auction seller with no scruples.They are a very dodgy company….BE VERY CAREFUL IN DEALING WITH THEM .

Attention! Scammers! I won Bentley gt 3 r at the Car & Classic auction. The history was deleted, a hidden car incident, defects, the condition of the car is poor. And what's even worse, after refusing to buy a car in such condition, it took several months to get the money back only with the help of lawyers, and not everyone has received it yet. Car & Classic and Tuned Imports organized a scam, be cautious. Car & Classic does not protect the client at all.

A COWBOY OUTFIT.They claim in one of their review responses that they have 100 people plus working for them,…totally untrue….when I checked their London office, there are only a very few employees, this is why nobody ever answers their phones.They are just a little outfit, owned by two individuals attempting to give the “ Big Company “appearance.I tried to set up a car (on auction) viewing and I was bluntly told, that they are not the seller and sellers do not like Auction Cars viewing.I then asked whether they approve of the cars on auction adverts and after some delay, the reply came back, that I must look at their Terms and Conditions of Auction.So, they do not !!A real small Cowboy Outfit, be careful before you give them blank access to any of you credit cards !Digging deeper, I noticed that they have many Trust Pilot reviews, always 5 Stars, titled “CONSUMER or CUSTOMER”, i.e., the senders cannot be identified. These are the tactics to make them look better than they really are. Trust Pilot are not checking those dubious and questionable reviews?!

Carcalssic auction is thieves! does not harm money after termination of the purchase and sale agreement. The story lasts several months and I don't know if I will get my money back without the help of a lawyer!!!!

I had a great experience selling through Car & Classic. The process was very efficient. The communication with the team was excellent, the photographer was punctual, diligent and took a lot of really detailed quality pictures. The marketing process behind the scenes targeted the right potential buyers and the final auction value exceeded my expectations.

I paid for a Bentley S2 in good faith and on inspection found that it was nothing like its advertisement. It was riddled with corrosion and had over 50 issues (listed below) detailed by a professional who went to inspect it. It turns out that the vendor's car were all up for sale; were all in appalling condition; all their listings did not reflect their true condition; and that because of a previous failed sale Omar Arif from Car and Classic knew this perfectly well.
