I came across this business on Facebook, where you can see that there are hundreds of very happy customers, that made me think that this was the place to have a special scarf made.I visited their work studio and was made to feel extremely welcome, I was immediately plied with coffee and had all the possible products explained to me in detail. I requested a long scarf in Sutherland (ancient) tartan, the owner and chief creator, Yvonne, said it might take a fortnight because she didn't have my tartan in stock. Just eight days later she rang to say my scarf was ready, much sooner than I had expected.The scarf is fantastic quality and I couldn't be happier with it and the service I received.I can highly recommend Tartan Creations, top quality goods with a friendly, professional and helpful lady.

Tartan Creations reviewIn October 2017 I bought an infinity scarf as a birthday present for a friend. When the scarf arrived the tweed and silk velvet fabrics were beautiful. However the silk velvet seam was very poorly finished. It was badly puckered and had stitches showing. Also the tweed was misaligned at the seam by 1cm, which looked very sloppy. I Facebook messaged Yvonne, praising the fabric but expressing concern over the finish and asked if there was another scarf she could send me. I received a very rude phone call saying she wanted me to send the scarf back immediately and she would refund the money. She had no interest in trying to resolve the problem and seemed incensed that anyone would complain about her product. I still wanted to give a scarf to my friend and explained that I was only unhappy with the seam but she said that silk velvet was very difficult to work with and that was the way they were. She had done the best she could. She also said she did not like customers sending her “picky pictures”of her product.As my friend’s birthday was the next week I decided to keep the scarf and took it to a kiltmaker friend who unpicked the seam, lined up the tweed and re-handstitched it on the spot. It took her 10 minutes and now looks great, so silk velvet is not so difficult to work with if you have the ability!I felt that Yvonne's reaction to my feelings about her product was very rude and her immediate insistence of sending a refund instead of trying to fix the problem was not good business. I will certainly not be purchasing any more products from Yvonne, mainly due to her rude manner.

I came across her work at a booth at the Highland games and I bought several pieces while on vacation. Hoping I can buy more now that I am home. they are lovely and amazing quality!

Really lovely shop with lovely people. It’s a great place to get scarves. They have thicker lambs wool and thin merino wool scarves as well as handbags and accessories.
