Avis Car Hire - Edinburgh Airport

Ease of car collection with priority services. I had booked a mid-size car and got a new Nissan Qashqai which fulfill my expectation. Even though the car was new, there was some marks on the car of which I dutifully took photos and videos for record purposes.

Had a few problems with cars but the Budget reps sorted these so quickly and easily, I was upgraded for free to the next size car. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, I wouldn't use any other rental company.Stephanie was very helpful when I returned the car.Highly recommend Budget to anyone, cars are always immaculate.5*****

I rented a car for 5 people, 2 days, and received a Nissan Juke. The car was in perfect condition and clean.The queue time at pickup was a wee long but acceptable, the return was easy and the check of the car was quick and reasonable. Recommended!

Easy check in and vehicle pick up for me as I am preferred customer. The counter was extremely busy the day I picked up the rental due to flooding and train cancellations. My experience was ideal though. Car was as expected and the return experience was great. Will continue to use Avis in the future.

Zero stars if I could. Was given a vehicle that displayed brake failure warnings, tire pressure and check engine. Didn’t pop up until we were almost to our accommodation in Stirling about an hour away. We had our kids in the car and we’re furious this car was even on the lot.

Fantastic service from the staff and management at Avis. Great price and great car all things considered.I arrived early in the morning for a Hertz reservation, only to discover that Hertz would not honor their reservation for a gasoline vehicle, and attempted to force me to hire an electric vehicle for my trip to Skye… After speaking with the Avis counter they not only had the car we needed, but they even offered a discount because of the unfortunate circumstance we found ourselves in. Would rent from them again.

Fantastic service at Avis. No hard sell, great car (I went for the Audi A6). Simple return process. I would highly recommend signing up to Preferred and always pre-booking the car to save waiting in any queues.

I would never go near these cowboys again, and strongly recommend you avoid them too. Pay a little extra for a more respectable company.The car itself was ok, but they overcharged agreed charges and fabricated additional charges after the car had been returned, then refused to refund them nor explain/justify them based on their own Ts&Cs when I questioned them. The response was basically, tough you can complain to your card company or the ombudsman if you're bothered enough, else we're keeping your money.They also claimed the car was in perfect condition at pickup when it was far from that. My work covered the extra insurance so it didn't matter for me, but always, always take pictures!!

I arrived at Edi yesterday. I had read some negative reviews and had been worried but a nice car was waiting for me. Check in was easy and quick. Staff were very polite and welcoming and they explained everything about the contract. Extra insurance with zero deductible had always been my choice. Now enjoying the holiday in Scotland with family.Returned the car on 26 July at 7:30 a.m and I was asked to hand in the keys and head to the terminal with no discussions at all. Super smooth and super fast. Highly recommended. Thank you Avis.
