Portsmouth Student Accommodations - Fountain Halls

Really nice experience and nice service. People are very kind. Nice university accommodation.

I’ve been at fountain halls for nearly a year now and I have intentions to come back here for my final year too! The one thing that sets fountain halls apart from other accommodations is flexibility and versatility. This is demonstrated in various ways such as being able to view and pick your own room rather than it being picked for you. They also allow you to pick the length of your contract rather than fixed term contracts at other accommodations. Finally, the kitchen also caters their food depending on your dietary requirements. In conclusion I would highly recommend fountain halls as your choice of student accommodation.

Fountain Halls is a very good accommodation for 3 very simple things:1º- The food provided to the students is good, and not only you are well served, but they even give you choice to remove any dish you might not like... but is this just it? No! They give you vegetarian choice and have a list of all your allergies in case you have them, so you can eat safe;2º- The management and staff treat you with full respect, and are always ready to hear your suggestions, being efficient enough to make you happy.3º- The rooms are better than what I expected, and during winter, the heating was so amazing, that didn´t feel a bit of cold.

constant builder disruption, lack of cooperation with the landlord and generally poor, overpriced halls. The only good thing is the speedy maintenance service although can’t claim the facilities are top standard. The rooms are small and the food is of average quality. The accommodation claims that a kitchen for the building would be finished by the end of September 2018, however it is now April 2019 and there is no sign of it being anywhere near finished. Instead, the students are left with a room containing poor quality cooking facilities, some of which don’t even work properly. If you are considering these halls make sure to visit them first.

The tenancy agreement does not have a Break Clause option. it is the best to avoid this kind of contracts.

Could not recommend Portsmouth Student Accommodations enough! Amazing accommodation options, and staff really go above and beyond to ensure all your needs are met. They’ve made the search process for accommodation so easy, I wish I’d found them sooner!

I had a great experience at Fountain Halls.I am pescatarian and my diet was accounted for, which was great. I loved my room, the heating worked well and I had plenty of space.One of the best things was the atmosphere. There are plenty of opportunities to make friends and socialise, for example there was a pool tournament and there’s a projector in the social area for movie nights. Another thing to add to this is the accommodation manager Andrew, who is very friendly and is always up for a chat, he made it feel like home.There is also an option for shorter stays, which is perfect for any doing placement like I was between September and December. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Absolutely disgusted, they insist on a holding fee of £250 then if you have to back out they keep the money, as if students can afford to throw money around!! Beware of this place!!
