Globe Works - Yugo Student Accommodation Birmingham

This place is amazing. It has all the facilities a student needs such as study rooms, gym, cinema room, and a chill space. The rooms are decently sized with a built in TV, a desk, an en-suite bathroom, and a small kitchen area. Some rooms are different though as I am in a studio room. The cost of the rent is quite reasonable as well. The accommodation is about a 15 minute walk to the town center and also the universities around Birmingham, so it is very convenient.The staff are very friendly, supportive, and will help out with any problems or queries to the best of their abilities. Mani is on hand if you have any problems with your room, or need anything fixing. James is a very nice manager and is easy to talk to. Debs and Nikki are always at reception to help with anything and are easily approachable. Gary and Martin are the night staff, they are very caring and kind. They are there if you need anything as there are always staff 24/7 everyday on site.Overall, I would definitely recommend to all students, whether under graduate or even post graduate students.

I've lived at Nido for the past year and my experience has been amazing! The team is super friendly and helpful, especially Ahmed who has helped me many times with any issues I had. The management team, Ahmed and James, have been nothing but reassuring and understanding with any financial issues I was facing and they did their best to provide me with alternative solutions and payment plans that suit me best.The building and communal areas are beautiful, modern and always clean. It's right by the canal and only 15 minutes walk to the Bullring and the train station. The cinema room is cosy and perfect for having a few friends over and the booking system is great. There is a rubbish chute on every floor which I find very convenient and it works perfectly on my floor. If there was ever an issue I could go down to reception at any time and it would be solved immediately.I am renting a studio room and I couldn't be happier! It's spacious, bright, at a reasonable price and is looking over the courtyard and the canal. The smart TV is a perfect addition to the room too and I couldn't be happier to be staying here, I've already re-booked my room for the next academic year! I feel safe, there is always someone at reception 24/7, you can only access the building and the floor which you live on with your fob which I find very secure. I used to work late night shifts and coming back to Nido at early hours in the morning and being greeted by a friendly team member at reception has made me feel like coming home.I would 100% recommend this place!

Nido is a great accommodation, the rooms are very spacious & have a lot of storage space. The shower in the bathroom is very spacious & the heating in the room is very easy to use. The staff are so friendly and helpful, James (manager) takes time to listen to any complaints and is very quick to help you resolve any issues you may have, Ahmed is also very helpful & is always on top of things, Archie is also very good at his job when it comes to any maintenance work that needs to be done. Overall, Nido is a very nice place to live at.

From my 2 years of living and studying in Birmingham & staying at Nido and another accommodation, I can confidently say Nido has been my favourite accommodation. Compared to my accommodation in first year, Nido has a very homely feel to it and is a very secure, safe environment. The Nido team, a couple names I want to mention - James, Ahmed, Nadine and Archie, are amazing. They have provided the best support and care for the students living at the accommodation. They put our safety before anything and are there for us when in trouble. They have made me and all my friends feel very comfortable and they make Nido an incredible and joyful place to live in. It is a very relaxed, chilled and calm place of living. The facilities are great, having a gym, cinema room and the common room which has table tennis allowing students to play and interact with others within the accommodation. It is definitely a living place I would recommend to students and would return for my final year!

I've lived here for 2 years and out of the student accommodation across birmingham Nido is definitely the best. The Nido Team are amazing, they're are all friendly, polite and extremely helpful. The manager James is so friendly and approachable and has made my time here great. All are quick to solve problems and damaged goods are repaired almost immediately . the rooms & bathrooms are very modern and spacious. The facilities here are fantastic and the accommodation is situated in the best location. 10 min walk to uni & 15 min walk to town. I've enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend this accommodation.

I've stayed at Nido for two years, and it has been a smooth and very comfortable experience. The staff are always on the ball, professional and super friendly and understanding, in particular the manager James and Ahmed who are always prepared to solve any issues you may have. The building itself is regularly cleaned and always looks presentable. Nido has a fantastic cinema room and gym to use for all residents as well which is a great perk. The rooms are lovely, I have lived in both an en-suite and a studio room and both were spacious and homely, the studio includes a tv which is a bonus. The location is one of the best things about Nido, right next to the canal the modern courtyards give a lovely view as well as the brisk 10 min walk to Birmingham City University and 15 to the city centre. This accommodation gets a 10/10 from me :)

Nido is the best accomodation I have ever lived at. The staff are the most friendly people I have ever met. They have given great service to me as an student and been there for me and my friends as best as they can be. They make it comfortable to live in and everyone is friendly. It is a great place to live for students , with a good common room and a good gym for people to work out. I have enjoyed it very much and would even come back here for my last year. If you are a student thinking about moving to accomodation it is the place to be especially for second and third year students.

This is my second year living here at Nido Globeworks and I can honestly say it is the best student accommodation I have lived in hands down. The accommodation is modern with useful facilities and I have had minimal issues living here, which in the end had always been resolved. The staff here are very friendly and helpful and the site is neat and clean. With access to nearby shops, walking distance from University and access to free outside parking the location couldn't be any better.

This is my second year living at Nido and it is such a great student accom! The facilities are amazing, the building has a cinema room, gym and study room! It is also conveniently located as it is only walking distance from Bullring and my university. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are so nice, not to mention that the rooms are also reasonably priced! The staff are also very friendly and provide great support for the residents. James, Ahmed and Archie are so helpful and are quick to solve any issues.

Do not book here. The staff are very bias and rude towards residents. I was in a dual occupancy. The lead tenant of the contract decided I need to leave. I wasn’t allowed in the room to collect my things they were all thrown in a trolley with the staff watching. All because I asked for my belongings asap. Disputes occur but they were unprofessional and were clearly taking the side of the lead tenant. Without hearing me I felt judged and embarrassed with the way I was treated. On top of that they have lost my passport - all my items were in the trolley except my passport. One of the staff members I think called Capri stated she saw my passport and described it in detail being in the trolley however that was only stated after consulting with the lead tenant upstairs for 30 minutes. Take your guesses on what happened there. I am embarrassed don’t waste your money here if you ever have a dispute with anyone just know they will take sides and embarrass/shame you.
