Sally was quick to respond to my initial email and has acted professionally and clear in all her instructions during our sessions and correspondence.I came to Sally as I was struggling with my 15 month old puppy who has become extremely nervous and reactive with others dogs. We approached Sally as we have took in a German Shepherd Logan, at 6 months old. Our main goals were to help with his pulling, recall and general command responses. Sally was really helpful and knowledgeable. Despite the appalling weather conditions, Sally still persevered with training.

We have a very reactive Sprocker (Norman) and his behaviour with our two cats was causing lots of issues in our home. We had 3 years of having to keep the cats and dog separate and having major disruptive reactions when Norman saw/heard/anticipated the cats being at home.We were expecting our first baby in winter 2021 so we wanted to pace ourselves, and after a bad experience with another dog trainer, we were so pleased to see from the first reply that Sally sent us, there were no promises of quick resolutions but a focus on the welfare of Norman and our cats and also, and importantly, and awareness of how this had to fit into our life too.Since we started working with Sally, she has given us very practical and easy to follow advice on how to improve our situation. She has been very patient with us when we have had to take breaks for the arrival of our daughter and during those breaks with cat training Sally has given us helpful advice on fireworks, lead and off lead walking, Norman's reaction to children and how to introduce him to our newborn baby, and dealing with our baby trying to feed the dog…Sally has really been so valuable in Norman’s development and I am really happy to say that his reaction to our cats has massively improved since we started working with Sally. Norman surprises us by improving all the time and Sally is so helpful in setting new goals and moving us closer to having more harmonious meetings between the dog and cats.

Sally is an absolutely brilliant dog behaviourist and coach. I would strongly recommend her positive and holistic training style and services at Know Your Dog to owners with a new or ‘tricky’ dog, but also to anyone who wants a greater understanding of their dog’s behaviour and psychology. Her insights have been fascinating! We’ve met Sally for three in-person sessions and have received further excellent advice via emails. She is incredibly knowledgable and cleverly tailors advice to your dog. She is calm, compassionate, and clear in her demonstrations and communications, both in person and following each session, where she quickly provides further info and support. Her handout sheets and emails are an amazing resource. Most importantly, her training style and advice really works! Our one year old working spaniel’s general behaviour has massively improved since working with Sally and his recall and lead are now excellent, with other bits in progress. We are already looking forward to our next session.

I met Sally today at her helping-adjust-your-dog-to-your-new-baby course and it was an absolutely fantastic morning.
