Ordered muscles, they were not cleaned properly. The person serving told me it was normal to have the beard left after cleaning.I will never eat in this place again.

Arrived in Ullapool to stay with friends. Recommended to eat here. Arrived about 7p. Place was mostly empty. We took a seat in the bar area, not in the restaurant. Only 1 other couple in the area and a reserved sign on another table, so far so good. My wife asks if we can have a meal where we were sitting. The attendant asked if we had a booking, which we didn't. Got told no booking no table/meal. At the same time a few other people arrived and were attended to by a person who was clearly the manager/supervisor. He asked the same question but to our surprise they said they didn't have a table but that was OK and they were given tables either inside the restaurant or in the bar area. So I went up and asked and the manager/supervisor. He taped on his laptop for seemingly 5 mins and then said yes and showed me to the table we were already sitting at. At the same time several tables were still free in both areas and remained so for the rest of the night. Another couple of age (50's - 60's) walked in, clearly tourists as we were, got asked if they had a booking, NO sorry no booking no table. We left about 8.30 after very average food and the place was still half empty. Not sure what is going on at this place but if you're a visitor to the area give it a wide berth. Totally dysfunctional with just average food. I have pics of all the empty tables. And check my reviews, this is only the 2nd negative in over 10 years! I don't do it lightly.

Food and service were both fabulous. Fish and pork cooked beautifully, served with a smile, nothing too much trouble for the staff. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

Food was amazing. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Would highly recommend eating here. Prices were great for the food you received.

Vänligt bemötande och mycket bra middag sett till priset. Fräsch lokal som är nyligen renoverad, lite steril känsla men det kanske kommer att utvecklas. Baren med lite tråkigare utbud sett till tapp men i övrigt bra. Fisk och skaldjur på menyn.

Les plats sont soignés et bien cuisinés, le service est discret mais présent. Le prix est très correct par rapport à celui de plats à emporter dans le coin. 25£/personne avec un dessert.
