Roath Park Wild Gardens
This is a large lovely park to walk around. They have an enclosed children play area, toilets with disabled ones. A restaurant, ice cream van and cafe. A large boating lake. Rose gardens where you can walk around and smell the flowers. You can walk your dogs, children around on the smooth path

Lovely area for walks, picnics, feeding ducks/geese/swans. Big bag of Bird feed is £1 from the boathouse.Play area is quite big. Can get quite busy when the sun's out.Parking is usually possible for free around outside perimeter of park.

Winter, Spring, Sumner or Fall as the song goes, it's always a wonderful place to visit. Indoor gardens a must to see, amble around outside and there are well kept flower displays . Walk a little further and Roath Park lake with all the different water fowl and rowing and paddle boats for hire. A great place to walk or jog for your daily exercise or have a picnic while the kids play on the slides and swings or climb the the rope climb. There is a charming cafe by the rowing boats plus toilets by the children's play area plus Ice cream booth. Something different to see all year round.

Always lovely to visit. Ice cream van as well as the ice cream stall and cafe all open today. Reasonable standard public toilets too. Lots of birds - swans, coots, tufted ducks, cormorants, canada geese, moorhens etc. Spring is coming with the daffodils, crocus and magnolia!

The gardens and lake are a great place to visit in Cardiff. There is plenty to do such as dog walking, jogging, relaxing, visiting the botanical green house, play areas for kids, restaurants, tennis courts, football and rugby pitches, and ice cream parlours.

Gorgeous park, lots of swans nesting, goose, Moor hens with little ones! A pity they are not able to water the roses, so a lot where dying of thirst. But the variety of trees and the fish in the stream all wonderful. Even an ice cream van! Haha

Nice place to visit with the kids or going for a run round Roath park lake (1.3 miles/2.1 kilometres). You do get the odd car crash or dead bodies being discovered at the lake but it's generally safe, however, be aware of falling 20ft trees during high winds and stormy weather! It's not the cleanest of parks though, there's hundreds of swans, seagulls and ducks (and some rats) so pretty much guaranteed you'll step on some fresh s***
