Wentworth Woodhouse
This was my first visit to this most interesting house. The staff were most welcoming and helpful. The house has some very interesting rooms within it, some of which I recognised from various films and television series that used them for location shots . At the moment there is an exhibition of costumes from some of these programmes.I also enjoyed walking around some of the grounds which still had some colour even in late Autumn. The restaurant has a good selection of food and drinks too

Absolutely stunning building which is inspiring. The guides around the house are very helpful and informative. The work done to restore the house is incredible. The gardens are also stunning with lots of different areas to investigate the children will love it as there is a woodland area with them specifically in mind

We arrived very late in the day but the staff were lovely and were very helpful. Gift shop was really small and I feel like there could have been more signage. But wow, what a beautiful facade!

Wentworth is a truly magnificent place. We visited the costume exhibition but stayed for the grounds and history. We will definitely be returning and look forward to seeing the restoration. The café is a lovely little place and of course, the staff are typical of Yorkshire; friendly with warm smiles.

A nice house to visit but don't expect furniture! The building has some fantastic details. It is still being sorted after being in a state of disrepair. The gardens have lots of places to discover for all ages. The also host events here.

One of the finest and grandest Georgian houses in England, it is Britain's biggest private home. it has 365 rooms, 1,000 windows and two and a half acres of roof, and its 618ft East Front façade - sandy-coloured stone blackened by coal smoke - is twice the length of Buckingham Palace, and the longest in Europe. You still can't see all the rooms at the moment, as there is still a lot of restoration going on, also the camelia house isn't open to the public yet, they were hoping to have it open for the summer of 2023, but still not opened on October 23, when we visited, also the stables aren't open to the public untill 2024, but don't let that put you off, you still get to see some rooms on the ground floor and 1st floor, and the gardens are worth a stroll, there have been many films and TV series filmed here including,Oscar winning feature films such as Darkest Hour, worldwide hit TV series Downton abbey, including ITV’s Victoria and BBC’s Gentleman Jack, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, Charles III, Billionaire Boy, music video and fashion photography shoots and a few more.At the time of are visit there was a costume display from the films and TV series that were filmed here which made it more interesting.National trust members only pay (50%) £6.25 for the house and gardens, (otherwise it's £12.50) or £8.75 for a guided tour of the house and then visit the gardens. (Otherwise £17.50) We took the guided tour and it was great, as you find out more about the house, if we weren't members of national trust we would not have gone at these prices, but would have returned if more rooms were accessible and when the stables are open. But we did enjoy it, and will return in the future.

A fantastic afternoon/evening. It was a great story inside, and the rooms were amazing. Outside is fantastic with the lights everywhere. Great staff, especially Graham, for all the info. There was even an outdoor train to ride on. I'm going to take the whole family next year.
