Surya Hot Yoga

This is a proper yoga studio where other yoga teachers go to train. People of all levels, beginners to advanced, are all challenged here. We all keep coming back because of the quiet discipline and the deep internal breathing work we need to do to stay sane in the modern world. I personally need regular yoga to stay supple to teach dance classes and so that I won't yell at my kids :).This is not a place for poseurs, complainers and people on first dates- Just good, well taught yoga in excellent facilities. Well done Raj and Sarah!

Surya is more than a yoga studio, it is truly a magical healing space that will bring you home to your body and practise on such a deep level.There is a really special, loving energy that you can feel as soon as you step foot inside and you feel truly held by the teachers and the space itself. It is a hidden sanctuary - a place to be.Signing up means you will become a part of the most warming, friendly community and each teacher brings their own authentic feel to the class, allowing me to deepen my spiritual practise.I really would recommend this studio to anyone and am so grateful to have discovered it! It will bring so much beauty to your life.

I absolutely love this place! From the moment I walked in, I felt a sense of calm and serenity. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also very welcoming.I feel fortunate to meet teachers who not only guides us through the physical practice but also imparts invaluable life wisdom and analogies that resonate.Apart form amazing classes, the studio offers a variety of workshops which I'd highly recommend to attend even if you've been practicing yoga for long time.Sincere thanks to all the teachers and assistants...

I have been coming to Surya yoga studio for many years and it just gets better and better. Raj and his team have created a truly special environment and I always look forward to spending time there. The yoga teachers are highly skilled and knowledgeable; only the best get to teach here! The classes attract such a diverse range of lovely people of all ages, with a mix of newcomers and longtime attendees like me, and it’s worth trying different classes. The gender balance is impressive too - I always think it’s a good sign when a yoga studio attracts a high percentage of regular male attendees, given that yoga tends to be known for female participants. The kind community ethos of this studio suits me very well, gently encouraging ongoing growth and not afraid to challenge those open to going further.

A soulful haven! Having learnt yoga over the years with various teachers, discovering this studio has been life changing. Raj is an amazing teacher and my practice has grown steadily over the years. There is a variety of teaching from steady to challenging. Safe, hygienic, friendly - one of the best yoga studios in London. I recommend it to family, friends, colleagues and even to my patients. It is @Surya where I find and strengthen myself on my mat week after week... it is my happy place :)

Surya is such a wonderful hot yoga studio! Whether you are looking to detox, strengthen, stretch or just want to unwind and escape the stresses of everyday life, this is the perfect place to sweat it all out. The space is clean, light and airy with stunning views. Everyone working and practising here is super friendly and very supportive. A lovely community of people from all walks of life.The teachers are fantastic, very experienced and professional, each with their own unique style of teaching. There are regular workshops and if hot yoga is not your thing (yet!), the studio also offers a variety of other non-heated classes such as aerial yoga, yin and sculpt with new classes added to the schedule regularly.I took my first class here ten years ago and even though it took me a while to establish a regular routine, I have been a regular since 2018. I can’t imagine not practising here. I have been to other studios in SW London as well as abroad but this studio has a really special atmosphere. To me it is especially unique as coming here has changed my life on so many levels. Give it a go, you won’t regret it. Just a word of warning: the heat is very addictive!

I recently joined the studio and very much enjoy the variety of the yoga taught here and also great energy in each class! The teachers are all very experienced, with their unique styles , but all challenge you to not just focus on asanas but also explore and practice other limbs of yoga such as breath work, meditation, concentration, relationship with oneself etc. This help me to deepen my own practice, and find the “third space” amid the busy day-to-day work and family life. Highly recommend whether you’re a beginner or more experienced practitioner. Thank you everyone at Surya!

I have been going to Surya Hot Yoga ever since it started and I should have posted a review before now. It is the best hot yoga studio in South London that I know of. I have been practising yoga for over 35 years and was a practicing yoga teacher myself. The ambience of the studio, heat, music, combined energy, and most importantly, the teaching itself is fabulous. Raj is unique, and I highly recommend Surya Hot Yoga.

Back after 10 years and love the new facilities. Easy to find.A large variety of different yoga classes with great teachers and a friendly crew. Sarah always helpful and Raj engaging. The rest of the team keeps everything in order and clean.Happy to be back!
