Portreath Car Park
This is the most convenient parking place for Portreath beach and a short walk to the harbour. The name Portreath means sandy cove" and was first recorded in 1485. The original harbour quay was destroyed by the sea before 1749 and the foundations can sometimes be seen when the sea washes away the sand. The village also had a large fishing fleet

Favourite place in the whole world. Been visiting for 47 years. Changed a bit. But not so much as to spoil. Very glad they rebuilt the monkey hut. Always a healing place for me. Nothing quite like the North Cornish Atlantic Coast. Enjoy

Car park right on the beach, £2 first hour, £1/hr thereafter. Contact less payment is a bonus. Bar and cafe close by

Excellent beach you can spend the day there. Nice restaurant / chippy at the exit for tea at the end of a hard day's beaching

Great car park right on the beach front - 4 stars for cash only parking. We got down there early at 9am and were the first car in (summer/July). Revive ticket on entry and pay at end. Was really handy to pump up SUP. Spent around 3hrs paddling and then easy to deflate boards for car, before relaxing on the beach.

Great place, good cafes, reasonably large car park with space for motorbikes. Super beach and good for body boarding.

Good car park. Very close to beach. Machines work, and take cash, cards and contactless. Can't ask for much more.

Nice beach ,car park gets busy ,charges not too bad ,good for dogs after 31st Aug. ,lovely little harbour
