York Caravan Park & Storage

Recently spent four nights here, it’s a stunning site and the couple that run it really care, they couldn’t do enough for you. It’s quite a large site with great road access, no nail biting worries if you’re towing something large. The pitches are well spaced out with mature hedging in many places. There is a lovely dog walk, certainly large enough and has the bonus of being enclosed and gated. The wet room shower facilities are as good as I’ve ever seen and there are plenty of them, so no waiting around. Five stars all round in my book.

This has to be one of our favourite caravan sites to date. The site is absolutely immaculate with excellent sized pitches. The pitches have water, electric, waste and TV aerial with surrounding hedges for privacy. The shower rooms are enormous family sized and are well kept. The site is very tranquil with birds and ducks making the only welcomed noise. The bus to York centre stops right outside the entrance. Can't wait for a return trip. 5*

Can't fault here.Everything seems to of been thought about when it comes to the toilets and showers.Good location to York. Bus stop over the road or an uber costing little bit extra to town.Cute little gifts in reception too.

The site is great, really nice laid out. The amenities are not great, not the cleanest, so didn’t shower. Perhaps the timing wasn’t perfect. Smokers ashtrays at the toilets. Not a great advertisement.The bus service from the site into York is ok.The site is 5 stars but facilities only 3 stars.

Great site with fabulous amenities. Spotlessly clean. Pitches very well laid out. Had an issue that was dealt with immediately by friendly staff that want to make your stay a great experience! Easy to catch the bus into York from the outside of the campsite. Being on a site like this really spoils you when you have to move onto one that doesn’t hold the same high standards! Definitely on the return list and would highly recommend. You get what you pay for here.

This was my second trip to York Caravan Park and it will not be my last.. The whole process from the initial booking to the final payment was very easy.The staff very lovely on arrival and even checked in on me that night, as I was travelling alone. Throughout my stay, all if the staff were very friendly and polite and always had time for a conversation. The site itself is great. The facilities are always spotless and right in the centre of the Park. The location is perfect for many visitor attractions, including a bus stop right outside the entrance, which gets you into York in 15 mins. With the Park being about 5 mins from the ring road and A64, it's ideal for venturing a little further afield... So much to do and see. See you next year.

Lovely site with clean and spacious facilities. Pitches were large and included privacy hedges, which were a great touch. Would benefit by having a small shop on site, although there were a few items for sale in reception, however it's a little out of the way if you're pitched up for the duration of your stay and don't have a car to get around. Bus stop at the entrance to the site is convenient to go into York.

If I start with the negative, it has to be the cost; however, when you consider what you get (especially with its proximity to York), it's probably not too bad.Everything else is a positive; the site is well kept, with clearly marked pitches. The toilet facilities are well thought out and very clean (always important).Took advantage of the buses into York (with the dogs), which took the stress out of finding parking, etc and also meant we could have a drink.

Really good shower and washing facilities.Location ideal for a 10 min bus journey (bus stop right outside) into York city centre or 45 minute walk.Short drive or taxi ride to Cinema.Would use againWi fi connection everywhere on site.

My wife & I have recently spent a week at this beautiful site; as already mentioned the pitches are quite large with neat hedges for privacy and well kept grass areas and a lovely lily pond. The site is easy to get to and there's a half hourly bus outside the site to take you on the short journey into York, our first visit to this beautiful city. The shower block, toilets and washing up area are immaculately clean.The day after our arrival we had a massive problem with our habitation door which wouldn't close. Rob, the site manager came to our aid, (he was off duty as it was in the evening), and secured the door for us. He then gave us the details of Simon, who repairs motorhomes and caravans locally. Simon came to the site the following day and repaired our door while we were enjoying a day in York, he phoned me to say he was at the van and again some time later to tell me he'd repaired the door. I can't thank both of them enough.Would we return to this site? Absolutely!
