Shepshed Watermill
The watermill only opens occasionally but is a pleasant afternoon out when it does. You can look at the workings of the mill itself, there were a few stalls plus a blacksmith and vintage vehicles. If the weather is good there is some seating by the stream for a cup of tea or ice cream. The atmosphere is relaxed surrounded by a little bit of history.

What a fantastic beautiful place to visit! £2 entry n stay as long as you like ! Real English engineering at it's historical best on your doorstep! This place a must ! Stunning gardens n tea room n loadsa cake! U must visit this place!

Great hidden gem. Lovely coffee and cake by the millpond. When we visited Zedfest (fun BMW Z3 and Z4 festival) was on to walk around. The water wheel was operating and the blacksmith forge was running doing demonstrations, plus outdoor music.

Really beautiful local beauty spot. I've lived in Shepshed all of my life and had never been to an open day, but I'm glad I have now. We were blessed with the weather, which definitely helped, but it's interesting too.It would have been nice if the gent that did some maintenance explained what he was doing, to the people, including children, observing. However, it wasn't a massive deal. Highly recommend a visit

Shepshed Watermill
I was so pleased we managed to make it on one of the Watermill open days. Lovely garden and mill building; the workings have been restored and there are lots of fascinating artefacts from years gone by, including a sock knitting machine. Nice cup of tea and cake in the little cafe.
