Redbridge Lakes
Beautiful and tranquil. What a place this is. Even if you're not fishing, the surroundings are lovely and peaceful. A barbecue was available today and other refreshments too. Social distancing precautions taken and hand sanitizer plus a hand washing station is supplied. Will be back soon.

Redbridge Lakes is a hidden gem within the community. The atmosphere is peaceful and the food is lovely! Breakfast is served until 12pm and the portion and prices are very well priced. The customer service is always friendly and helpful. I’ve been a customer here for many years and highly recommend visiting!

What a great day I had today at Redbridge lakes. Received a warm welcome from owner Gordon and met a few members that were so helpful to a novice like myself. The lakes and grounds are so peaceful. The place has an overall calm feel to it. Friendly staff in the cafe not to mention the wonderful sausage sandwich. This place is special and so glad I am now a member.

Lovely spot for an English breakfast, just don't get too close the the fence by the bee hives ~ I got stung and it wasn't pleasant. The fence should be moved to stop people getting so close.

My son uses this lake and took me to see it, a little oasis, very well run, café, 2nd hand tackle etc, and a recycling shop. Lovely seating areas and family orientated. The fishing places are secluded. Areas for insects, bats, bees, and a new kingfisher area. Also Paulas pond which had beautiful carp in it.Large car park would recommend.

Redbridge Lakes
The Redbridge lakes are a fantastic place for families to learn to fish. 2 lakes full of various sized fish. A cafe to get hot and cold food, ice creams and drinks, a tackle and bait shop with everything you need to get started and to continue fishing. Pre set fishing poles you can borrow for those that want to plug and play straight away. Becoming a member could be a bit simpler / better explained but this was my only negative on a thoroughly enjoyable day. You have to sign up to the monthly £5 fee (that you can cancel at any point) first before you turn up at the security gate. You then pay £20 for a fob to be able to get in and out of the gated lakes, and then a further £10 for a whole day's fishing. If you are bringing kids then they fish for free in the area that you fish in only. The fishing huts that are on pontoons out in the lakes are great for people wanting to sit out of the sun, or there are multiple secluded areas to fish throughout the lake. We went during a very hot day (notorious for fish not biting much as its too hot), and only caught a few tiddlers, but it was a great first experience for the kids. The staff (Lee and his daughter) were fantastic - helped us set up and kept my kids entertained! That and the carp pond, the activity play area, the various nature trails and the 2nd hand recycling hut (with games and books and other things in) kept impatient kids happy. We loved our day there and are now members! Thanks Lee for being so lovely. Please remember to pay the £5 monthly charge BEFORE turning up as you will not get entry without this.
