West Country Roofing

A water tight felt roof was replaced with a leaking fibreglass roof, garage and gable ends together with soffit was installed. Introduced Soffit board to me claiming it was Exterior cladding that is much more expensive. Asked for cash upfront for wages, asked for further cash to cover materials, new fibreglass roof floods the garage. I was told they no longer work with felt therefore the alternative was fibreglass however they advertise felt! None of the exterior cladding matches up. The guttering has fallen away from its fixings. Put soffit board up instead of exterior cladding, I was told to contact thier supplier (assistants name given) but I contacted the C E who told be soffit board was definetly unfit for purpose. Frequently asked to borrow tools, asked for a power source first thing each day to power up tools, none of them are skilled, always had children hanging around, kept going off and leaving job for days/weeks at a time. No bills provided when requested, massive overcharge, non of people on site could show evidence of any qualifications. Liskeard roofing and Westcountry roofing are the same family businesses based at Foredown Parc Pensilve in cornwall. Charged for materials such as eaves trays that were never on site or used. Very untidy workforce no sense of direction or management it would appear they have abandoned the job due to lack of knowledge and skills. I would allow a professional tradesman to inspect their work anytime in fact I will be be posting pictures together with video onto relevent websites to help protect others. Considerable damage in my garage together with inconvenience due to persistant leaking roof. All I ever asked for was a first class job to be done after all they charged a first class price!! Still waiting (15 months) after starting project for the job to be concluded. At one stage they denied working on the project. I have been very tolerant with these people but I feel they need to refund or arrange to complete the job in a professional manner by using a skilled set of trades people. Incidently, this outfit were recommended by Checkatrade

Excellent service, very happy with all the help I was provided with, from phone call to roof repair I was treated brilliantly and was involved every step of the way! Would definitely recommend this company and use them again in the future if need be! Thanks guys!
