St John Ambulance Barnet

I volunteered for St. John Ambulance for 7 months and was initially at Barnet before transferring to Enfield.I was looking for an organisation where I could learn new life- saving skills and do something worthwhile.Instead, I found myself being on the receiving end of physical contact without my consent by one of the leaders there. The first time he came up behind me grabbing my shoulders. The second he grabbed me and kissed me on the cheek because I agreed to do a last minute shift. Despite struggling to get away he held on. He had a history of doing this to other people and to cadets (under 18s)I spoke to one of the unit managers about him grabbing and kissing me and was given a warning only. 4 days later on the next shift the same person decided to stroke my leg whilst I was giving first aid.Again I spoke to the unit manager Shelley. My complaint was brushed under the carpet until I decided to report it to HR and the police.Since then the managers responsible are still in charge. The organisation has still not responded to me at all. Avoid St. John Ambulance!
