Purrfect Paws Pet Sitting Service

We had booked Kim to dog sit for us while supposed to go on holiday in April 2020. Due to the pandemic our holiday was cancelled. I tried to ring Kim to explain that as our holiday was cancelled and that we would not need her to dog sit. I thought this would be a mere formality as the entire country was in lockdown and it was obvious that no one was traveling anywhere. She would not take my call so we ended up texting.I have the texts to show anyone who wants to see them. Kim was immediately hostile and aggressive with me. She was personal and very upsetting. She was saying things like her business won't survive and she can't feed her kids. Like it was my fault! She said she didn't ask us for a deposit out of trust and goodwill and that it was a shame I didn't respect her as much as she trusted me. This was not true as I had offered to pay her a deposit at the time of booking and she had declined my offer. She told me I could settle up when I returned from my holiday.I told her I would honour my original offer and pay the deposit if she wanted me to. She curtly send her bank account details saying it would have been a 20% deposit. I paid her the deposit of £64 which she has never acknowledged. I found her attitude and behaviour extremely upsetting and unnecessary. She is unprofessional. I am only thankful that my dear pets were never left in her care and that we discovered what an unreasonable and hostile person she is.

I am honestly lost for words. I had Kim come and feed my cat for a week last year, (didn’t seem to be any issues but Jess is a timid cat so she didn’t even see her apparently) so I text her weeks ago and booked her for this year for me and for my mother’s cat. I had been waiting on her instruction for payment and meeting beforehand etc. She had said she had to go to the doctor and would get back to me (last I heard from her) but she just text me tonight being very snotty saying as she hadn’t heard from me she assumes I don’t require her services and she has other bookings and kids to feed??!! I tried to clarify because the last instruction was she’d let me know after her appointment, then she started sending messages that made absolutely no sense and were completely irrelevant. I tried to ring her as I couldn’t actually believe what was happening and wanted to resolve this amicably, I’m unwell and in bed and receiving these abusive messages and she kept cutting my call dead! I’m honestly horrified by what just happened tonight.She kept sending the same message and was being blatantly aggressive with capitals and !!!! for absolutely no reason so I told her I don’t want her here and had to block her. Now I go away Saturday and have no sitter! Bear in mind I have ALL our text correspondence to prove this behaviour to literally anyone who wants to see it. She then had the nerve to text my mother (for the first time since I asked her to ring her days ago) saying I hadn’t paid her! I had told her to give me payment instructions which she ignored. So she is also lying about this whole thing. I had clearly said “ I’ll await your instruction regarding payment and meeting up etc.” She said she would get back to me when she’d spoken with the doctor but the message I received was blatantly hostile. It is all here in black and white. I would not want this person anywhere near my pets or property, I’m glad I found out what she’s like now just wish she hadn’t left me high and dry with 3 days notice. I feel sick and stressed and wish I’d never found this person.
