Texaco Service Station

I stopped off here because I'd heard it was the site of numerous robberies. My family and friends had been telling me about how they'd visited recently only to leave with vastly less money than on arrival. I hung around for a while watching people come and go. The rumours appeared true. I observed numerous happy smiling punters go into the building. When they emerged they all seemed to be suffering for some form of shock. All of them were clutching a fuel receipt and muttering about 'some guy named Boris' who was taking them for mugs. I couldn't let this continue. I entered the shop with the mission of finding this lad Boris and demanding he treat people fairly. I asked the lovely, helpful staff at the counter if they knew where Boris was. They claimed that Boris didn't work there. He was based in London. They told me it was pointless to try to track him down. They said he never did much work, choosing to party and lie his way through each day. One of the other customers claimed to know of an uprising that would take place soon. He said that the Great British public wouldn't stand for this nonsense for much longer. Boris's days are numbered he said with a tear rolling down his cheek. I'm not sure if it was the emotion of the moment, or if he had looked at the amount on his diesel receipt. He turned, thanked the counter staff and disappeared into the darkness. Which was strange because it was ten past two in the afternoon.In short, this is a great garage with a great range and great staff. Just go steady when you fill up.

Regular customer, very friendly staff especially the ladies!!always have a laugh. Good facilities including handy cash machine and hot chocky station!! Great to pop in and pick up some essentials

Friendly but overpriced

I went to use the car wash this morning. It’s tricky to access & I accidentally knocked one of the plastic cones & it moved by half a foot. One of the staff members came running over & gesticulated that I needed to roll my window down . He then proceeded to tell me in a very condescending manner that I had ‘ killed the cones’ I was instructed to move back ( complete with eye roll ) I did offer to give said cone CPR , but it wasn’t necessary as it was perfectly fine! I was then told that most people use the other entrance to the the garage to access the car wash … I explained that I hadn’t been before, so I wasn’t aware of this secret rule. Que another eye roll. Really bad ‘customer service’ I felt that the gentleman in question was misogynistic at best & tried to belittle me . I won’t be going back ! And to top it all off , my car wasn’t even particularly clean afterwards.

The second time I have used their car wash. What horrible staff both times! 1 star is too generous for the way I was spoken to and treated both times. If I treated people in this way, I would be sacked on the spot.

Friendly staff, plenty food etc in shop . They also have a great garage for MOT , services and any other necessary mechanical work needed on your car, would highly recommend. Great prices too.

Spoke to the manager just to let him know about the out of date extinguishers on the forecourt, the most rude and disrespectful man I have ever come across. I was only trying to help, I think they may need a good fire audit if he cares about safety that little.
