Compass - LUNA Students

Compass is indeed one of the best accommodations in Birmingham and more likely UK.During our stay as students, it was much of a home than a student accommodation.The staff are friendly, supportive, and understanding. I have visited almost all student dorms before coming to Compass and by far this staff were different, kind and approachable.The studios are furnished modernly and with the best design. Thanks to modern construction, even through freezing days of the Winter or hot days of Summer, we had moderate temperature and nice weather. This new materials help rooms to be noise free. The scenery is really perfect and quite rare in city center. Location is outstanding for many universities like BCU and Aston and other colleges.All in all, I enjoyed my stay and will recommend it to anybody who wants a good stay.

Location:Well located in city center and a stone throw away from BCU, Aston, and other colleges. You can always find a place to park your car free of charge nearby.Rooms:Modern, new, and well designed rooms without the noise of neighbours or outside of the windows. Equipped kitchen for any type of cooking, free gym and dining room for throwing parties or celebrating anniversaries.Staff:Helpful, professional, and supportive. Compass is an outstanding accommodation that I found in Birmingham.

The room is fine. But you can't open your window fully because authorities designed their Blinds weirdly.And one more worst thing is -their internet. Complained to managers and also complained to the company who is providing internet. It has been running without internet for about 20 days. No solution.The pool table is placed in a small room. You can't shoot appropriately from two sides without space for stretch.The coffee machine always keeps stopping working. Like you can get coffee only once a month, and then it's broken again and again.

Simply amazing, its been a year that am staying in compass.good location, good wifi ,nice gym and gaming areas, very good and helpful staffs especially jay and emma . All the security's and other staffs are good and helpful too. Its a nice place for students.

If you are in BCU or Aston, this property will be one of your best options.Firstly, the location is very convenient. Close to schools and local grocery stores, with the nearest Morrison Supermarket just a 20-minute walk away.Secondly, the staff is very nice. They are always offering great understanding and providing timely support. (Though we don’t talk much,) many thanks to Jaye and especially for every parcel you collected for me xD.Thirdly, the room was adequately furnished and had sufficient space. Though this may be the reason that I booked the Plus room, this room met almost all of my needs. It was really satisfying to experience a room like this in the first year of the flat's construction.In case you prefer to open the windows - unfortunately, the building is located on a busy street. Besides that, it's also located near the city fire department, so even at like 3:00 AM in the night, if you live on the street side and prefer to keep your windows open, you are also likely to hear loud traffic from the street. Also, opening windows increases the dust in the room.In addition to this, it should be noted that it is possible to meet unfriendly neighbours in any properties. There are times when persuasion works for these people, but for the most part there's nothing much to do. This property also has some unfriendly tenants, some of whom play music loudly and sometimes I can hear them clearly as I walk through the corridors. Therefore my great year-long experience is also due to my perfect neighbours, thank you.Overall, I was very satisfied with the flat. I have only been in the UK for one year for my postgraduate studies, and to be honest, I've spent more time in the flat than I have at the university - especially when my university is actually quite far away from the flat. The reason that I booked the flat initially was because at that time, most of the properties were already fully booked, and the recently built Compass still had available, well-furnished rooms. And after such a year, I could say that even though the flat may have been lacking in some areas (especially the first few weeks as mentioned in other reviews), I would still pick Compass even if given more choices. Miss you Compass (now LUNA)! And I hope you will continue to provide excellent service to the students.In the end, honestly Compass doesn't deserve a perfect 5-star rating. But considering that the current rating (3.5) is well below the actual rating I think the property deserves (4.5+), I'm giving five stars. I hope this review will be helpful.

Enjoyed my time here. There were some hiccups at the start of the year with limited access to facilities and being told i couldn't view the room beforehand but since then not a problem. For anyone moving in in the future. The staff have been brilliant and supportive keeping everyone informed. Good central location with a nice mix of students for anyone moving here on their own. You'll have the opportunity to meet new people and build relationships. Great location for Birmingham City University and Aston University. Rooms get a bit warm in the summer so grab a cheap fan when you move in but UK is cold most the year so you won't have any issues with being cold. Would come back :)

Amazing student accommodation, all of the staff are incredible, Emma and Jaye have personally helped me on many occasions. Perfect studios with a handy kitchen and desk area. I have loved living here and will definitely stay as long as I am in university 11/10.

I had a wonderful experience living at Compass. The property is located in a good area within the City, perfect for studying and relaxing. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished, with everything I needed to feel comfortable and highly productive. The management team is always responsive and helpful, and they were quick to address any issues that I had. I would definitely recommend Compass to other students, and I would definitely book again for my final year.

I have loved staying here the past year and have just moved into my new studio flat. The facilities are amazing and the gym and pool room are what make this place so great for me. The staff are all friendly and amazing and with 24 hour security I always feel safe. Emma and Jaye who work here are the most helpful people you will ever meet!! I can’t fault the place, would definitely recommend!!

We had a rocky start as they said the building would be finished by mid September but it wasn’t finished until around early November.The kitchen is far too small for anything, you can barely fit a microwave (which you have to provide), there is also minimal storage space.I’d say the fridge and the oven are alright.We had no wifi are the start for about 3 weeks but I guess that’s sorted now.Overall management could’ve been a bit better.
