St Mary Magdalene, Richmond Church

Sadly I was there for a funeral, but what a beautiful church. Great location in the centre of Richmond. Lovely inside and outside. An oasis of calm in a busy city. Couldn't have asked for a better place for my friend's send-off.

My autistic son needed somewhere quiet to sit during sensory overload & there were people talking & organ playing on a Thursday at 11:50am. No one offered to help. They should know how hard it is to find a quiet place. Very mean & inconsiderate of vulnerable people in need of such a simple thing. We sat outside and then police sirens went off, tried the church again & the organist was practising very loudly.

*** Recruiting for the church choir and Junior choir (Oct 2017) ***People have been worshipping here for 800 years. Beautiful choir. Services on Sunday 8am, 9.30am, 11am, 6.30pm.

Every night, particularly during Summer months, the Church yard and connected alley attracts considerable antisocial behaviour, from drug taking, drunken shouting/fighting, and overall appalling behaviour. The church and the council need to do more to combat this for both the sake of local residents and its patrons.

Beautiful ancient church right in the middle of Richmond town centre. As you enter into the courtyard a strange peace descends upon you. There is a moderately sized garden with lots of seating, flowering plants and ornamental trees surrounded by low walling, it is connected to the main shopping street via Church Walk off Paradise Road.The church architecture is absolutely gorgeous with a mixture of styles from different architectural periods, from Tudor to Victorian. Fabulous interiors - check out the stained glass windows.The church has an adult choir which leads worship on Sundays and at major festivals. On Sundays, the choir sings at the 9:30am Parish Eucharist and for Evensong at 6:30pm.

We came here to sign the book of condolence to the Queen. Lovely church and beautiful wood ceiling.

Beautiful church,inside and out. Went to a wedding there. It was really very nicely handled.I very lovely experience.

Lovely church, belonging to the Church of England, located in a quaint and characteristic courtyard. The church has been renovated in 2019. It has a lovely pink columns and lovely statutes and so much history!! A must see!
