The Old Crown At The Castle
Lovely sandwich with salad and excellent service the first time we called. Called again, walked in and sat down. Waiting for our order to be taken, to be told that all tables were taken. This despite the fact that the table behind us were just getting up to leave and the small room off was empty. The main room was also full of smoke and the smell of cooking so think ventilation might be a problem. Walked down the road to Bailey's where we were welcomed and the food was lovely.

The Old Crown At The Castle
Unfortunately arrived a little late in the day and didn't have time to sample the meals. We had freshly made choc sponge with choc ice cream which was delicious and a coffee. I was stopped in my tracks by the coffee, it was the best I have ever tasted and I know my coffee! It is made locally. The food is all made from fresh local produce and the service and staff were amazing. I can thoroughly recommend this venue.

This has to be the best place in North Wales for Salads. They are so full of variety and super tasty. Emma knows how to cook food that is healthy and amazing.There has been no drop in standards with the take out offerings, and it's great to be able to have an end of week treat. We always get excited when we put our order in.The cakes on offer are great too. Although we tend to be boring and stick to our favourite - the delicious scone.

Lovely warm welcome upon entering. Simple menu, little too much so for my liking bit was later informed that regulars basically pick and choose and order what they like! I had a sandwich and soup. Both delicious and all home made! Had a lovely chat with the owners who were so friendly, they even recommended other establishment's to visit which we did! But most of all, dog friendly!! In fact, more like dog encouraged! Recommend for sure. To add, slightly pricey in my opinion but I'd pay more for home cooked food any day.

The Old Crown At The Castle
The 6 of us were visiting Wales as a mini break during Covid and went to the castle but was closed. Noticed this lovely little place as leaving and the 2 helpful ladies were very accommodating (as we hadn't booked) and conscientious with sanitation. They were participating in the Eat Out To Help Out scheme so obviously great value for money and we wanted to support smaller companies. Beautiful, well prepared, fresh and very tasty food, particularly the salads. Good size portions and nothing was left, very enjoyable.
