Hurn Chemist

Staff are great here. Odd selection of things to buy, but generally has pharmacy/chemist things in stock. Jabs are offered which is handy, all run to time and in out quickly.Prescription gets lost sometimes and I’m not sure whether that’s the surgery side or the chemist side, however I don’t have this at other chemists so suspect there’s something not quite right with their systems. Often items are out of stock and no great way to get updates they are back in - would love some modernised tech offered here. Feels like they are a little outdated and could be more efficient. Wait times can be long.

It’s getting difficult to get some medicines but Hurns managed for my wife where others failed. I went to collect it and was dealt with very promptly and professionally. Thankyou to all concerned.

I've visited Hurns a few times this week. Each time the staff have all been kind efficient and helpful - despite being busy. Prescription medication was available with little waiting. A minor ailment was diagnosed and detailed advice given. Thank-you

I am a regular customer here and will be finding a different chemist from now on. The parking fines outside this place are a joke. If you pull in their car park after they are closed having raced home from work and missed there opening times just to sit there for a few minutes whilst you figure out where else you can go. The company will send you an absolutely outrageous fine! It doesn’t matter who you contact or how you appeal it they will just send you threatening letters.

Wish I could put 0 stars.Was parked here for 3 mins 10seconds exactly and faced with a £60 parking fine. Needed some medication but realised the pharmacy was closed. What a joke. Beware of the parking here.

Competent, knowledgeable and compassionate staff. I had lately visited the Hurn Chemist to get penicillin for my very unwell 9 years old daughter. They were the only people who didn't turn me away but explained that they can offer me alternative antibiotic instead.In the say moment my daughter become very unwell and one of the pharmacist stepped in to assist and help as I was so worried and panicked that my daughter could have become septic.Thank you so much for being professional and caring.Maggie

Agree with the sentiments below about the parking fines being outrageous.I parked there at 8pm on a Sunday, the chemist was clearly closed and I dashed across the road to the Co-Op to get some Calpol. I was less than 3 minutes and now am faced with a £60 fine. I will not return here, even as a customer.

This Pharmacy has really gone “down-hill” since it changed hands … It used to be so efficient with friendly polite staff that couldn’t be more helpful … Firstly they removed the convenience of the ATM Machine outside for locals and now, every singer time I’m kept waiting for pre-ordered (online or from my GP) prescriptions!It seems that no one bothers to check their “online” ordering system until the customer visits to say … “I’m here to collect my prescription!” …This system needs to be checked “hourly” and not left until the person is “actually” there to pick it up! Then, having to wait around for 20 minutes while someone puts the prescription in a box then a bag and then sticking on labels etc, etc, etc …Poor Customer Service and it needs addressing!

Fantastic pharmacy well staffed and very helpful. Always polite and no long waiting times. It's taken me many chemists to find a good one I'm very lucky to have found hurns I won't be changing anytime soon . Thankyou to all the staff who are working hard to get our scripts to us your appreciated. Parking is good too right outside .
