Absolutely lovely shop. Wonderful staff who are very friendly, warm and helpful. Marie and Lily made me feel so special and relaxed. Cannot recommend the shop enough.

i went to glass slipper because i couldnt find my dress anywhere else .. i arrived with my mum and sister and designed my dress i asked if it was possible to try some on and was no they did not keep stock in for try on.... I paid my deposit for dress and returned for for fitting i was shocked at the colour as i was sure i never choose such a bright colour,however we proceeded with the dress as i felt i didnt have time to go else where i asked a number of times about some of the unstitched fabric and was told this would be cleaned up on last dress fitting i added extra alterations as something was missing from it,and paid up what was owed and then the extra alterations i rang 3 weeks later to be told the extra fabric should be there within that week bare in mind my wedding day is now 3 weeks away!! And she had the money upfront to order the material needed. upon collecting my dress not all my alterations were done yet she had been paid for them and my wedding was now 2 weeks away i left with my dress feeling very heartbroken and emotional on my wedding day my dress was to long,some of the fabric was coming off my mum and maid of honour had to work on dress hour an hour before i got married resulting in me being late!! The day after my wedding more fabric is coming loose and now i have to seek another dress maker to correct it!! My whole experience with glass slipper was awful i found trying to point out that she had charged me for alterations that had not been done and the fact fabric was loose on dress difficult as she see no problem with it herself and gave me lame excuses as to why this is!! Alot more effort and care could have been put into my dress but there was not resulting in that if my mum and maid of honour had not stepped in my wedding day wouldve been ruined!! I would not recommend her services to anyone.

received so many compliments about my prom dress and Liz was an absolute lifesaver! The zip on my dress broke literally on the day of my prom and she fixed it so easily and so last minute !! She’s so lovely and gave me the dress I exactly wanted! X would recommend

I recently used the services of The Glass Slipper to have my bridesmaids dress made and particularly my bridal gown. I had a vision of exactly what I wanted for my dress and have been told shops I couldn't have this without paying an absolute fortune. I particularly wanted a red fairytale dress. On chatting to the Glass Slipper for my bridesmaids dress did it become possible that I could have not only the dress of my dreams , professionally made to fit me but also at a reasonable price. I cannot fault the service received from beginning to end and must admit that I felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. I cannot recommend their services highly enough. Thank you so much for making that particular dream of my come true

I love this shop I have 7 dresses as well as my wedding dress made from here and my husband had a dinner jacket made . if your not happy with anything it is no trouble to fix it. I have had so many compliments about them in all the cruisers We have been on. now going to get my number 8 dress lovely helpful couple

If there is a way to give zero stars for this dressmaker, I would!I made an appointment to visit them after I got a quote via email for a bespoke wedding dress. A lady named Liz confirmed and added that I visit on 23rd September 2017 at 1pm (She chose the time and date). I emailed to reconfirm as I would be travelling all the way from London to make this appointment and I needed to make bookings with Virgin Trains immediately. With such short notice, you can imagine the transport costs associated. I cleared my schedule to make the appointment.I arrived at Peterborough way in advance (by 12pm) to find my way to the store so I do not run late. I arrived there at exactly 1pm but they appeared closed so I gave them a ring. Liz answered and said she would not be coming in that day. Her reason being that she had had an emergency with one of her girls. She did not bother to ring me to inform me and told me to wait until 2:30pm, which was around my return train time back to London. She did not seem perturbed to try to make it up to me for the grave inconvenience caused or have me reschedule for a later date with a possibility of covering my transport. She just seemed indifferent and adamant that there was nothing she could do.My day was just wasted, getting to Peterborough and not meeting the dressmaker and having to loiter for an additional 2hrs to hop unto my train back to London.I believe that this could have been just an unfortunate incident and I decided to wait over the weekend to see if they would send an apology email and ask to reschedule but nothing has come through. As a result I decided to leave this honest review to show their lack of professionalism and how they take their clients for granted.Avoid The Glass Slipper! They are really not worth your time or money. If you cannot trust them with your mere appointment, you should know not to trust them to make you any clothes!
