1st visit, with our daughter who is keen to volunteer, will arrange to fix a date to start, incredible animal shelter, was very impressed with the setup and caring attitude towards various different types of animals, it needs financial help if anyone has the means to help !

Yesterday was my last day at @halfpenny_sanctuary.Learned how to muck the stables (mainly cleaned the stables for goats, disabled sheep and donkeys) and clean fields of Ragworts.Total respect for the owners -Louise and Mike to choose such a difficult path...the amount of work which has to be done daily is insane.My favourite animal is Rubic- a goat with zinc deficiency, who initially lost his hair, but the condition left him with a locked knee. So he has a small buggy - to wheel him from the stables to the field.I'm glad there's a great team of volunteers like Katie, her mum Val and her brother Danny - who's been coming twice a week for the past 6 years

A well maintained animal sanctuary, with well cared for pigs. Friendly staff readily available to help. This place is great taking in rescued animals.
