Oct 2023 update: new staff are even more stingy and the prices are shocking. Such a shame a historically excellent chippy has let itself down. £5 for a large chips used to provide leftovers for two more dinners, now it gets you about 40 chips. A chip shouldn’t cost 10p. Their opening times are also wrong, drive up and you have a 50/50 chance of it being open when it’s supposed to be. Shame.Disappointing these days - used to be a great chippy. The prices are now exceptionally high, and they run out of all fish and sausages an hour before closing. What is the point of a fish and chip shop that doesn’t serve fish at 9pm, prime dinner time in central Birmingham. Just overpriced for what it is these days but they do make up for it with decent chip portion sizes. Sadly not worth coming here anymore

Ordered 2 large fish and chips with curry sauce. I asked for it to be cooked freshly which was expecting it to be nice and golden crispy. No, it was brown over cooked and not fresh at all. Paid over £20 for my order which is 4/10 for the food. Not willing to order again.

The staff 2 young girls are very rude and it’s almost as if the manager instigates one of the girls to behave with an attitude because she is close with him - it’s appalling service! I would avoid this place it’s changed a lot from how great it used to be. I can’t believe how rude they were just avoid it trust me!!

***EDIT***Yesterday was the worst service I’ve ever received from the place. The woman was rude, slammed my changed into my hand and slammed my food on the counter. I’d never seen her before, she must be new or I’d unfortunately encountered for the first time. Very hoggish. It seemed she was rude to a few other customers, too. Such a shame as I’ve been here many times and not had a bad word to say.First time having food here and we will definitely be back. Quality food - prepared freshly, tastes amazing and great portion sizes. Quality service - friendly staff, welcomed with a smile. 10/10.

The food is decent, but sadly the service from the two young women was really unprofessional behaviour. I did not end up eating the chip they prepared due to a real likelihood that the food was “fiddled” with. A shame, since I’ve had fond memories of buying from the chippy (when it’s used be called Sir Harrys) when I was growing up the area…

As a regular customer, this is the BEST fish & chip shop in the midlands bar none! A wide selection of freshly cooked food served by friendly efficient staff. I can highly recommend this establishment

Fish is cooked to order so it might take a little longer than other chippies but it's absolutely worth it, chips are superb, all served with care by friendly staff.
