Both the axe range and the historical European martial arts clubs are run incredibly well, by a very skilled and knowledgeable instructor. Definitely recommend training with them if you want an inclusive, fun, but intense group.

A wonderful group of people! They really make you feel welcome and supported. This group is rigorous and conscientious in their research, so you can be sure what you're being taught has been thoroughly explored. I would highly recommend the group for anyone, as they are welcoming to all skill levels. Keep up the great work!

Friendly and welcoming group, and classes to suit anyone from absolute beginner to those with years of experience new to the area. Extremely knowledgable crowd who are happy to share their wisdom, alongside excellent instruction in medieval longsword. Other HEMA techniques such as dagger work and unarmed are also covered. Highly recommended, give it a go!

I have enjoyed every minute of my time with The Exiles in Sheffield. I'd always been interested in swordplay and medieval weaponry and so on. The instructor Luke Ireland is excellent.
