Preston Bike Shed

Handed bike in, was informed It will be ready in three days, however I got the bike back three weeks later. The bike was not road worthy on return so i gave him a chance to rectify, something else came up, so I booked the bike in to Halfords, I was informed by Halfords that the bike had not been fitted with new brake pads (which I paid Mark for) the cassette was incorrectly fitted and has now damaged the back wheel ( which I paid Mark for) I gave Mark ample time to rectify and then refund but had no communication, AVOID!!!

I messaged Mark on Thursday because I didn't take care of my electric bike and it was in dire need of TLC, when I got it back and took it for a spin it genuinely feels better to ride than the day I bought it.New break pads, chain and a full service, absolute bargain.Top bloke

Mark is at hand no matter what the problem with your bike is. Has all the time to explain any problems with you and even gives you tips to not go pouring your money down the drain. True gent in the current times and will forever have my custom as long as he's in the game.

Agreed to drop the bike off at a set time / date. Nobody was there when I arrived, and no answer on the phone. Wasted a couple of hours of my time for nothing.

Great service, got my bike back like new after taking it in to get the gears fixed. He even delivered it back for free. Highly recommended, will use again.

Had a mechanical whilst attempting to complete Lands end, John O’Groats, in desperation I found the Preston bike shed, couldn’t believe my luck when I was told to bring it straight down, this was on a Sunday by the way, Mark sorted out my gear lever problem on my gravel bike and had me on my way, I can’t put into words how grateful I am for his help and the unbelievably good value of the attention my bike received!

Thought I'd help the local community instead of the booking in with the usual big names 'Halfords' - However, after initially emailing Preston Bike Shed and not getting a response after 2 days. I decided I would try the main land line. Which I found on the Preston Bike Shed website.Unfortunately I didn't get through to anyone. After that attempt, I tried the two mobile numbers instead:- The first number went through to a very grumpy individual who I hope doesn't work at Preston Bike Shed. Otherwise his customer skills need alot of work.- The second number didn't pick up so I left the usual details on the voice mail (Name, Number, job required). However, I've had no reply after 4 days, resulting in taking my road bike to Halfords, who thankfully, did an amazing job.

Great service - after having been told by others that my mountain bike was a write off, Mark collected it (15 mins after contact) and returned it a few days later fully repaired and cleaned, ready to go for another 10 years! Very happy customer!

Good at fixing bikes.. but not communication. He rarely replies or answers the phone. Not very reliable overall, quite dispointing in that respect, but charges decent price.
