I don't recommend Larcomes at all. Very poor communication and very slow! I've gone back to my original solicitors who are incredible in comparison - not sure why I ever switched tbh.

We recently used Larcomes whilst purchasing our first house. Paul Lee, at the Portsmouth office, provided a professional, efficient and friendly service. He was particularly thorough and easy to contact if we had any questions. I would definitely recommend their services.

We hired them in freehold leasehold dispute, estimated price was £ 2000 which doubled on the end, we lost our case due to them. the judge first thing said have we served s 47 48 notice, this Solicitors we hired a month prior our case had no knowledge to advise us to service the correct notice. Yet they doubled their fee. The only thing they had to do, check the process rearrange the hearing, if we not correct, we had plenty of time I didn't even paid the hearing fee until last day, serve the correct demands and we start again, we would of win! Lack of knowledge and they don't have duty of care of they clients. They were just after money regardless. We won't use them again.

I just completed on a new family home via Larcomes, again having worked with them on a property some years ago. This time the transaction was quite drawn out owing to a long chain, with an obstructive individual in the middle. This could have become very stressful but I'm pleased to say we had Carla Lewis acting for us at the top of the chain where we were selling and buying. Quite simply Carla was excellent. Very responsive (putting up with all my emails), extremely diligent and quick. Carla is a credit to the profession and Larcomes. Would highly recommend. Thank you again.

Larcomes have poor communication as they fail to update their clients in an adequate timeframe and have disrespectful staff who ignore your phone calls and roll their eyes at you when attending early for a meeting.Formal complaint was responded to but only one instance was acknowledged and fault accepted. The senior property lawyer defended his staff and believed that exchanging a property on a Monday and moving on the Wednesday in the same week reflected the companies high standards - and this is just highlighting one experience. Highly recommend avoiding this company.

Especially Lee Elley for conveyancing. She was always helpful, very quick on emails and always happy to talk on the phone. I would strongly recommend her and her team. Made our purchase and sale much easier than otherwise.
