Was surprised how much nicer the experience was at Southend compared with any of the other London airports. Small airport means very little walking. Check-in and security couldn't have been faster. No hassle with pulling out my computer from the bag either (!). Friendly staff and overall nice clean terminal.

drop off and pick up in good time, also i accidentally locked my key in the car with engine running on the return, in the dark and with heavy snow Dave the attendant was great in staying behind for us and helping us find a nearby locksmith who attended with in 1.5 hours and not 5 hours quoted by RAC, thanks Dave
