South Leeds & Hunslet Cars

The telephone operative at South Leeds & Hunslet Cars was OK with my booking until I mentioned I needed a dog-friendly driver because my small, well behaved dog would be with me. The details were taken and my booking was accepted and I understood that my requirements would be met.A few minutes later I received a phone call from Amber Cars. The receptionist said she was ringing to ascertain whether I did in fact still want the booking because her colleague at SL&H Cars had told her my previous call had been cut off". I told her the call had not been cut off and that all my details etc had been correctly taken. I asked if the operator at SL&H Cars had been reluctant to carry a dog and she said they only had a couple of "dog-friendly" drivers but she believed the "cut-off" call explanation was genuine.I confirmed my booking details with her and sincerely hope the taxi I need will arrive this afternoon as required.This behaviour is typical of SL&H Cars. I have been messed about several times by their drivers about accepting my small dog who never leaves my knee when travelling by taxi. SL&H Cars are supposed to be offering a public service yet they blatantly discriminate against some of us and then lie and try to cover up their discrimination. They should educate their drivers in more customer-friendly behaviour and explain we are a dog-loving nation. I shall never use SL&H Cars again."

The most incompetent so called taxi service I have ever used demanded cash up front but couldn't even find the location they were picking me up from even ringing me a couple of times saying they were there when obviously they were not. Seat belt wouldn't work either so had to shif across. Driver as is common with most private hire ones had no concept of lane discipline and was wandering into the adjacent lane on roundabouts as well as heavily brAking all the time rather than reading the road ahead and decelerating gently. A total nightmare that I will try not to repeat any time soon

Taxi rang me 3 times while we were stood in - 1c waiting exactly where we should be. It never turned up. They said blue Toyota was coming. Was a total waste of time and we rang to book this taxi at 6pm for 12.30pm to be back in time for the baby sitter. Not like we didn't give enough notice. We also rang twice near the time and they said it was on time. Never again. Worst taxi company in Leeds.

I booked a taxi through this company yesterday 2 hours before I needed picking up and I ordered it for 5 p.m. The driver first of all pitched up almost half an hour late making me late for my appointment and didn't even apologise for being late. When asked why he was late he said they had only booked the job in 5 mins before the pickup which clearly wasn't true. Avoid if you want to get somewhere on time!

Taxi rang at 2.10pm message from them said taxi will arrive at 2.34. Rang back at 2.50 and they said it wouldn't be long. Rang back 3 times at 3.20 but kept getting phone put down on me. Finally got ring back at 3.41 when I was just been picked up by an user. Soaking wet, phone is water damaged due to the rain and now feeling like I'm coming down with a cold. South Leeds seem to think that because they are busy the time they quote by text is not the time they have to stick too because they think people don't have things to do. Rather than them losing money they will lie to there customers. This has happened on several occasions now and trying to report it to the people that run the business is near on impossible. There price rise have become astronomical as well

I get 12 + taxi's every week, going to my Mam's & back home, few problems with new drivers but nothing like today, I was told money up front & locked in also went wrong way after saying he didn't hear me I said your sat nav is on & he ignored me again, after phoning office whilst locked in car I got no sense out of operator, he didn't understand or want to know

Called at 8:30pm and booked taxi for 9pm. Didn't arrive till 21:25. I called them 12 times to chase and was told my car would be the next to be dispatched - even though I booked in advance! I was stood outside for 25 minutes on a fractured foot because they said it had arrived and hadn't even set off. Driver was lovely but office staff were so bloody rude!!

Been using these to get back from work everyday for the last 8 days, minimum of £10 per journey. Always booked the night before. Not once have they been in time, today takes the biscuit still waiting 30 minutes after it should have been here

Booked a taxi today, when got in the Taxi the driver said have you cancelled it. We said no, then he said the system isn't working. Pulled over the car, then called the person who booked us in. She said we had cancelled it when we hadn't. Have been made to be late to where we are going. Won't be using South Leeds again, this happened about 2 months ago as well. They used to be good. Not sure what happened. Felt sorry for the driver too as the system clearly doesn't work.
