I bought my wedding dress through Ashwell & Co this year and could not speak more highly of the whole experience. They have a huge selection of the most gorgeous dresses but most importantly Kate is a wonderful source of advice, hype and help - she tracked down my dream 1930s silk gown and was able to advise around alterations and styling. Couldn't be happier, thank you!

During my trip to england I was very keen on trying a proper afternoon tea and I was glad I got to try it here. Besides the fact that the standart tea is by default vegetarian, which spared us from having to make a special order, it was most delightfull and scrumptious. The atmosphere makes you feel just the right tad fancy without feeling pretentious and the lovely host made us feel extra welcome and accommodated us despite us accidentally being an hour too early. We had a lovely time enjoying the little treats and the delishious tea from fancy little plates and cups. I HAVE to point out how remarcably scrumptious the scones where, but nothing could've prepared me for the white chocolate cake pieces and how astonishingly good they were(!!!). To this day, the best pastry I've ever had in my life and I will miss it very dearly. Thank you so much for the proper expierience, I will cherish it very much.

Amazing afternoon tea. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. We hired crockery and that was gorgeous and set out for us. Team were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. We used it for a hen do and hen loved it x

I can’t recommend Ashwell and Co enough! The entire team has been amazing. It’s such a welcoming, warm and lovely environment there, and they have the most incredible selection of vintage bridal dresses and accessories for very reasonable prices. It has been a lovely experience interacting with them throughout. I will definitely be back for afternoon tea (which I am yet to try and looks delicious).

Our dancing afternoon tea party was amazing! We were a party of 11 and had the most fabulous time. The dance teacher was very engaging and experienced, everyone had great fun. Kate and Will could not have done more for us and the cream tea afterwards was the best we have had in a long time! Very different, Victoria sponge was out of this world! Everything clearly homemade (even the clotted cream!) Will obviously took great pride in his baking and presentation, the results spoke for themselves, clean plates all round. Thank you both, a wonderful day had by all and the most delightful memories. Xx

We booked afternoon tea for a hen party of 24 people, and the experience was ABOVE AND BEYOND anything we could have imagined. Kate and Will gave us a wonderful welcome, the space was beautifully decorated, and the food and drinks were absolutely delicious (even the clotted cream was homemade)! We all couldn't stop talking about how lovely it was, and we wouldn't hesitate to book here again. Special thanks to Kate and Will for a superb experience from start to finish. They truly have created a hidden gem in the heart of Bristol.

Lovely afternoon tea - place is very Bristol (in a good way). Tasty, Interesting veggie sandwiches and none egg filled. Delicious scones and cakes too. Owner Will who served us was very friendly and shared some know-how, so we could try to recreate the sandwiches.

I bought my wedding dress from Ashwell & Co last year and could not be more grateful for the service provided. The range of gorgeous dresses, Kate's organised yet relaxed approach, and genuine understanding of my wants/needs for the dress, was all amazing. It made the process so calm and enjoyable, and I felt super confident picking something that was truly me, and that I felt was special and unique. On my wedding day, putting my dress on was such a highlight, I felt so fabulous in it all day, I didn't want to take it off. Thank you for everything!

We had a truly delightful time at this store sampling their teas, scones and home made clotted cream.The couple running the store were very welcoming, helpful and friendly.Perfect for a quintessentially English experience. Highly recommend!
