Excellent venue for weddings fantastic decor and friendly staff would recommend to anyone.

My new husband and I got married at Birkenhead Town Hall yesterday. From start to finish it’s been a fantastic process. We were originally due to be married in 2020 but covid got in the way but the staff helped us locate a new date that suited us. We wanted a small intimate wedding as we have a big party booked the following week. Firstly Suzanne, the chief registrar was fabulous in allowing us to tailor the service and we essentially wrote our own service including all the legal requirements which made it really personal.I have severe walking difficulties due toLymphodema and Ray and Rachel the superstar team on site were amazing the minute I walked through the door. Ray sat me down and put me at ease and we knew our day was in safe hands. Due to my difficulties I have severe anxiety and poor Rachel had to contend with that but was super fantastic and calm. They found me a place to change and organised chairs along the walk way for me and from arrival to departure Ray was there to lend a hand. Even helping me back into the car when I left.Couldn’t ask for two better people to be there on the day they both deserve a bonus! I accompanied a friend to your office to register her husband's death this week . The staff we met were helpful , efficient and kind . The registrar Tia was especially so and made a sad but necessary event much less traumatic . Many thanks .

Got married here in 2010 and was really good, did not cost allot and still married and happy. Have had birth certificates here since for two of my children. Very Scenic area of the Wirral with lots of historical value.
