Bentham Road Health Centre

Absolute waste of time, cant get through on the phone, once you do after waiting an hour, they tell you that they no longer offer that service, routine bloods !!!!!! Hopeless.Does anyone know of decent GP in Blackburn?

Had a telephone appointment with Dr Yow on Tuesday.He is so lovely, takes the time to understand what your going through.Can’t recommend this practice and staff highly enough

45 min wait on phone to not get appointment on same day . And when someone does answer the phone the receptionist think they are doctors.Not helpful at all very rude .I rang for a phone call back and I missed my call by 1 min so rang back for the receptionist who was a male to tell me it's not his problem I missed the call and now I have to ring back again in the morning and try and get an appointment so got to ring and wait in queue 45 - 60 mins wait .I would hate it to be life threatening with how they are at this doctors

All doctors and staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way, in fact quite often they go above and beyond; nothing is ever too much tor trouble. Appointments are easy to get and I always feel listened to. Many thanks to all.

Things have improved over the past 12 months, the staff are great, they really do try their best, phone queues are still long, but so are most doctors.

Never been in the health centre before. It was throwing it down outside so I rushed in and forgot my glasses. Went to the reception desk to ask where to go. There were 5 people in the back of reception and not one person came to help me . Eventually I spotted a sign and went to sit . Very unfriendly unhelpfully staff on reception. If I was a doctor there I would be having a stern word with them. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Rang for doctors appointment was on hold 40 mins finally receptionist answered and said be 2 week for appointment I said it was quite urgent was then quizzed off receptionist what it was about I said that was private then told too ring next day 8am too see if ot was possible too get in I said I was working not possible so got fobbed off worst surgery in bburn no duty of care at all

Yesterday (20/09/22) I rang twice to try and make an appointment, after receiving a text from the surgery asking me to make an appointment and on both occasions was cut off before being able to speak to a member of staff.Today (21/09/22) at 1.45pm I tried once again to make the appointment and yes, you have guessed it, I was CUT OFF AGAIN before someone answered the call!! Perhaps I should try sending smoke signals but then again, they would probably get the wind to blow them away. What a system they have in place!!*******************************************************************After failing to get to speak with them via the telephone system I decided to go and visit the Health Centre in person inorder to attempt to make the appointment (the appointment that THEY, THE RECEPTION STAFF, had sent me a text asking me to make). I went to the reception desk (found that there was 3 members of staff on duty) at approx 3.20 today (21/9/22) and stood there, alone, for a good 5 mins during which time Scott, one of the reception staff approached the desk twice, looked at me, fiddled with some paperwork and then returned to his work desk. The other two members of staff also knew that I was stood there as they had both seen me but, made no effort to make any move towards the front desk! It's quite obvious that they, (the reception staff who must not be questioned!) are a law onto themselves. The directive sent out by the Health Centre Management request that patients of the service must be polite and courteous to the staff but it seems that it's just a one way as they, the staff, are allowed to ignore patients who visit the Health Centre!! After reading the 'reviews' left by other frustrated patients, I think that it's high time that the staff received re-training for their positions as they seem to think that they are demi-gods and as such are above carrying out the simple task of being polite and helpful! IMO

Impossible to make appointment . My son needed to be referred to a cardiologist took them 3 months to act. Ended up with AnE making his referral. Keep making excuses! Spoken to really nasty at one point because AnE took it out there hands and was told “well they can’t do that”. Once you hit the jackpot and get a appointment after a week of trying the Gp don’t listen and fobs you off with medication.

Pathetic surgery. Was on hold for 25 mins whilst 2nd in the queue (was calling for a family member who was really ill). As I only live around the corner went into the surgery. Nobody on reception and receptionist having coffee with someone. Nobody else in surgery. Still had my phone in my hand. Still no 2 in queue. Hopefully whoever was no 1 waa not dying lol. Pathetic surgery Pathetic staff. Doctors nice though when you see him. Eventually.
