nextbike - St John Street

The front break broke when cycling and even though it was docked and returned it continued to charge me for another 4 hours after a 10 minute ride. I reported the problem, but no response or refund.

Tried to use 3 bikes, all side by side, in Cardiff and none of them worked. Nextbike still took my money though. They have an info@nextbike email address that only generates automated replies that say we will contact you to resolve the issue in the next few days" but a week later

You will not be able to contact this company if anything goes wrong. They do not respond to emails, app feedback, ride feedback and they do not answer the phone. They will incorrectly take and keep your money.It’s a great idea but within Cardiff it is appallingly run. There is no regulation of the bikes to ensure consistent stock across locations and the technology is glitchy and unreliable. I have been overcharged by a factor of ten after one use and there is no capacity to correct this or report an issue. I cannot now get this money back.It’s not worth the financial risk to use this unreliable and badly run company.

Comfy enough bikes some spaces don't have any bikes so there should be a better redistribution service.

We used 2 bikes from here. It was easy to do: the app worked well and the bikes were in good condition. Since renting from here, we've used next bikes a few more times. Its been easy and enjoyable. Only came across one broken bike (just chain off) and that was easy to cancel and to report the fault through the app.
