A really nice Indian Street food restaurant right in the centre of Bristol.Food is a lot lighter than your usual Indian food and full of flavour.The service was friendly and we were with our 5 year old and they made him feel very welcome.Look forward to going back soon

The food here was incredible. I really enjoyed the rose lassi and the unusual bhaji (from the sharing platter menu).They were knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and the service was great :)

I recently dined at Talwar Express, a fantastic street food-style Indian restaurant. The food was not only amazing but also arrived quickly and piping hot. Delicious Indian food in a very friendly family run restaurant. Great location just next to The Hippodrome on Bristol city centre.We don't eat out much in Bristol city centre, just because most of the best places to eat are out of town, on Gloucester Road etc.So Talwar Express was a lovely surprise. Food is beautifully tasty and a bit different than your usual Indian restaurant. Really enjoyed the chilli fish and deep-fried spicy prawns we had for starters.Now we know it's there, we will go back whenever we want to eat out in the centre.

Main course prices for tapas/starter sized meals. Food was okay, but nothing that I’d rave about. Don’t go here if you’re hungry or be prepared to spend loads. Service was nice but food did take close to an hour to arrive at the table. Host did his best to apologise and brought some snacks while we waited. Service charge was already added to the bill, but did not pay.

Samosa chat tasted really good but very less quantity for the price. Bombay bhel was not authentic at all but very bland, boring and extremely less quantity for the price. Bhel was a turn off. We didn't feel like ordering anything further after that. Service was okay. The lady who came to take orders wasn't aware of any of the dishes and whatever we asked. The called someone from the kitchen who then helped us with our queries. Overall the experience was okay, though we went with really high expectations.

Had my sons birthday party here.Amazing food, amazing service and the staff is very friendly.The restaurant has a wide variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian options.The food tastes amazing and will definitely take your palate on a trip of India.

First visit. Delicious food, the best Indian cuisine I've had for sometime. They were generous portions which are very reasonably priced. It's a gem in the centre of Bristol. Will definitely return. Very much recommended.
