2 hours to deliver 2 dishes, no apology, no discount, no refund. Shanghai chicken was so stringy and chewy, it felt very old. Singapore noodles had a very strange taste. I've ordered from here before and it's been fine. But I don't think I will again.

Everything dry!! Dry chips, dry salt and pepper squid!!! On top of that no free prawn crackers even though we spent of £40!!! Won't be going back

Just had our first take away from Shanghai House. We ordered direct with them on a Saturday afternoon and it arrived a fsir bit quicker than expected which was a bonus. The food was very tasty and I'm a little fussy. Some places can be greasy, but their dishes were lovely. I will definately be going back.

Best Chinese takeaway in Chelmsford. I literally order every week from this place. The lady at the reception is very friendly with a nice smile. Even the kitchen staff are polite and both delivery and collection is satisfactory.

Absolutely perfect. Lovely and generous staff. Always remember customers and orders. Food DELICIOUS. Ensure dietary requirements are met. Great place 10/10

Looking at the menu it all sounded great. But once we ordered we ask for it in an hour (too give them enough time to prepare our food). Went to pick up and had to wait 15 minutes for the food. Then they asked me to pay twice. Got home and my fish wasn’t what I ordered. My girlfriends dish had egg in it, in which we specifically asked to not have egg in. Had to go back and get my actual order and the women gave me prawn crackers. By the time I got back to eat the food was cold and my girlfriends fish was very bland and just wasn’t nice. Never going there again. Shame as it was very close to our home.

Recieved wrong items and when I called to let them know, I was told I received exactly what I'd asked for, even though both dishes were vegetarian and one had chicken! Both were completely different anyway, regardless of being vegetarian. Very rude man and he demanded to return the food, so the delivery guy came back to pick them up. He agreed that they were wrong. A week later, I'm now going through the Just Eat app as I still haven't received my refund from them as promised. AVOID.

Delivery was quickly and the food was hot when it arrived. Unfortunately the food was not good. I think it’s the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had which was such a shame. We ended up only eating the dumplings and the duck and pancakes and even these were not the best we’ve had before. The other items were so bland and not authentic in the slightest so we ended up throwing it away and getting food elsewhere.

Terrible service. Ordered a delivery, key items were missing and they have refused to engage in comms, no refund offered. There rest of the food was average at bestLooks to me like any positive reviews are fraudulent to keep their rating up. Avoid this place.
